Worked wonderfully to cut drywall holes for canned lights. Much easier to control than regular hole saw. Only used on eight holes so cannot comment on longevity but seems pretty quality.

Works on exterior 3/4" stucco wall with wire mesh
I wanted to vent a portable AC out in a windowless garage but had to cut through a stucco wall that was 3/4" thick with wire mesh. This carbide hole saw cut through the wall with ease and took about 60 seconds. The cut was very smooth and clean. It was also the perfect size opening for the Speedi-Product 5" round galvanized wall vent with spring return damper. This wall vent was also perfectly sized for my PAC wall vent. So if you need to cut a 5 3/8" hole in a stucco wall - you need this hole saw.

I think it will work great on sheetrock and fiberglass. I thought I was going to be drilling through fiberglass in my boat but turns out it was actually 3/16" aluminum covered by carpet. The bits made it through for the two speaker holes I needed but most of the carbide grit was worn off and I trashed the bit. Looks like there are also teeth under the carbide so I may get more use out of it. It's a quality heavy duty bit for what is intended for.

The Internet as well as Home Depot will tell you that this is the correct size saw for 5" recessed light fixtures but after wasting money on a non refundable product I discovered that 5 1/2" is the actual size needed. I am left with a worthless tool & the misinformed employee of the store i purchased it from should be responsible for its correct replacement.

Need to purchase the arbor separately. Something I should have known. Work perfectly with drywall, and it's the PERFECT size for 6" wafer light installation.
