Bosch wild bore is better
I used this bit for granite in my yard. It worked for a while but was slower and eventually broke. I found the Bosch wild bore to be faster and better. I can get 3 holes per battery vs 2 with the Milwaukee.

Drill Bit--Excellent!
The Milwaukee Carbide Drill Bit is an excellent product. Following the Milwaukee standard, it is forged to enable concrete drilling and get it done right. Have been using a ¾ inch by 7 ½ inch concrete bit in a Milwaukee 1-1/8 Rotary Hammer and dropped a hole in 60 seconds, where a regular masonry bit required 5+ minutes. Also, the bits have a very small tendency to “wander” when starting the hole due to the bit’s head construction. While I have not drilled with this specific bit, it is of the same character as others I have used. And, if you may need to drill in concrete often, Milwaukee offers 1-9/16 and 1-3/4 chucks on their larger Rotary Hammers. If you are an infrequent driller, you may wish to consider rental options.
Recommend the Drill Bit as a solid product – good depth reach and bit life

Can't have enough drill bits if you have a rotary hammer. This Milwaukee 1-1/2in SDS Max carbide drill bit is about as big as you want to get before thinking of needing coring bits but still has a lot of uses, particularly if you are running pipe through masonry or drilling drainage holes. I don't often use a bit this size, but when I do its invaluable. Paired with my Bosch it works great, but any standardized SDS Max will fit and should work fine. The carbide tips will give it a long life and serve you well.

This drill bit measures approximately 22 1/2" top to bottom. The shaft is about 5 1/2" while 17 1/2" is the drill rings. It's about 1 1/2" thick at the tip and gradually decreases to about 1" thick down the drill bit. This is a very heavy duty and sturdy bit, but unfortunately we don't have the right drill that this bit will fit into, so just be careful and know what size you need before ordering.

I made a mistake when I ordered this Milwaukee 1-1/2 in. x 23 in. SDS MAX Carbide Drill Bit and I should have known better based on the large size of the drill bit. I have a hammer drill that accepts SDS drill bits but I did not realize there was a difference between SDS and SDS max so I found that I did not have a SDS max drill. Since the drill bit is an enormous 1 ½ inches across, there was no way it was going to fit in the drill I have. I guess I should have read up before ordering. It turns out the shank for SDS drill bits is 10 mm and the SDS max shank is 18 mm. To be able to complete my current project, I had to borrow a drill from a neighbor who happened to have a SDS max drill. Once I had the drill, I set about my project drilling some weep holes through my concrete retaining wall. This drill bit made quick work of the project and I did not have any issues completing the job. The drill bit is intended to drill in concrete with rebar. I don’t really know if I hit any rebar but if I did, I didn’t notice which probably means I didn’t. In any event, this is an excellent drill bit and I would definitely recommend it.
The Milwaukee 1-1/2 inch X 23 inches SDS Max carbide drill bit is a very heavy duty bit and requires a heavy duty SDS Max rotary hammer drill. This large size and 23 inch length is great for drilling a foundation wall to install a small water pipe or other utility services. It is also great for drilling concrete to install rebar when adding an addition on to an existing foundation. This bit has a four cutter design to easily cut through concrete with rebar and other masonry materials. The flutes are designed to remove more dust faster reducing heat and drill holes faster. It even has wear mark indicators to show when it has reached end of life. It's made in Germany and makes a great addition to my heavy duty drilling tools.
I received my Milwaukee 1-1/2-inch SDX MAX carbide drill bit today; this bit has a solid carbide head and is 23 inches long.
This Milwaukee bit has a four-cutter head design that will drill into concrete with embedded rebar without binding. In my experience with Milwaukee MAX carbide bits, they last longer than other brands I have used.
These Milwaukee bits are not inexpensive, but they work so well that I do not use any other brands for concrete work.

This Milwaukee 1-1/2 inch carbide drill bit is a SDS MAX bit and rightfully so since you will need either a spline or SDS MAX type hammer drill to complete holes of this size. Weight of the drill bit is quite impressive and depending where you plan on completing 1-1/2 sized holes will require a very stout SDS MAX hammer drill. Suggestion is to start small making a pilot hole with a smaller diameter bit and work yourself up to the 1-1/2 inch diameter. Length of this bit is 23 inches long so you will have plenty of depth capacity using this bit. Quality throughout and will definitely last your lifetime. Only complaint is there is no protective case or tubing similar to what Milwaukee provides with their smaller diameter sized SDS MAX drill bits.

This Milwaukee 1-1/2 inch x 23 inch SDS MAX Carbide Drill Bit was chosen for some serious work ahead. We are doing a foundation for a storage shed and boring holed for anchors. This is my first carbide tipped masonry bit this diameter and “WOW, does this do the job!” My 18 volt drill handled the work as well as the A/C model hammer drill and did away with dragging around extension cords. The bit clears all but a little debris from the hole and a soda straw provides enough “blow” to clear it. I did not get to check for drilling through rebar as on these occasions I missed all of them.
