AnswerWe do not recommend using this hand truck to move large appliances as it does not have a safety strap. Please use one of our Appliance hand trucks that has the safety strap attached to the frame.

AnswerHi Joseph, Thank you for your question. I did reach out to the manufacturer on this question and here is what they had to say: The built in stair climbers on this hand truck do work. The main purpose is to help add extra balance to your load as you are moving up the stairs and the thick heavy duty steel glides on the stairs as you pull it up. These are just a different type than the rolling stair climbers used on the appliance hand truck. Really depends on what you need.
This isn't great for appliances or big items, so don't expect it to be great for that. It can be good for smaller items like smaller boxes and whatnot. I like that it's solid metal and has solid wheels. I never buy hand trucks that have inflatable wheels, although they are easier to use when the wheels are properly inflated; up the stairs, down curbs, etc. I still get solid wheels because I like maintenance free.
There are some reviews that talk about how it damages stairs when going up, most hand trucks damage stairs. If you want to reduce the damage, maybe try a fiberglass one vs a metal one.
