It attaches to a metal loop on the belt, so if your belt has a loop of some kind, it should work.

If you put this on a small waist, you’re going to have 15-20 inches of extra belt to either store or cut off. There are smaller-waisted tool belts from other mfrs that you could thread into this unit’s padding and reassemble the pouches.

Are the bigger pouches 2 pockets that divide in half.. are those sewn at the bottom? Where material spills to other side

Yes they are two individual pockets.

I've been using the new Milwaukee electrician tool belt without the suspenders for over a month now, everyday, 8 hrs & I definitely dig it! I do electric work, I'm 200 lbs 36 in waist & the tool belt is comfortable. The tool bag layout is pretty good. I have plenty of room in the right bag for 3-4 cutters/ strippers, blade, flashlight & wire nuts & some smaller fittings & wiggy. In the left bag i have 4 screw drivers, small channel locks, needle nose & a small wallet size zipper bag with a handful of drill bits in it. I like it becuase its well made, comfortable & not so bulky, but u can still put alot in it. I've tried dead on & klein bags previously & these are the best. Was up in the air about them but glad I swooped em! Oh and the carry handles on the belt are handy. I recommend!

(What's this)
Great shoulder rig. Takes a lot of weight off of the belt, which is great when a heavier belt is being used. Some jobs require a much heavier loadout, and belts start to reach a failing point after a certain amount of weight. The rig includes a little phone pounch on the left "shoulder." It is big enough to fit most smart phones. A very nice touch. When climbing through ladders and framing, I used to just leave my phone in the truck, for fear of cracking it when squeezing through somewhere. This keeps it out of the way of the weight and sharp edges of tools. Clips are universal. No proprietary system that forces you to buy a certain brand belt, so you can keep your favorite belt. The material is nice and flexible around the shoulders, but the other straps are just woven nylon. At first I was afraid of the rig's lifespan, but after using it, any amount of weight that would make the straps wear out is abuse of the rig. Funny side note, there is a pull strap handle on the back of a rig. Made me think of the pull straps on the back of bullet proof vests and fireman's jackets. I know it is for picking up the rig and attached belt when it is not being worn, but the placement of it makes me think of my old military flak jackets. Overall, a well thought out and constructed rig. Would highly recommend to anyone in need of such a product.

(What's this)
What a great tool belt...for me the beauty of this belt is the fact that it will stand up on its own so its just like having a tool box. Aside from that the pouches come off and can be used like a small toolbox. They stand on their own and have built in handles for easy carrying. The belt itself is much more comfortable to wear than a regular belt as it spreads the weight over a wider area. The whole toolbelt is very well constructed with heavy duty nylon and rivets.... This really will be the last toolbelt you'll ever buy......

A professional grade electrician's tool belt built to last a lifetime

(What's this)
The Milwaukee tool belt is built to last. The belt itself has a two prong mechanism; this distributes the load across both prongs and helps to ensure the belt stays locked in place. The cordura type material is extremely tough and will last a lifetime. Each of the pockets and tool attachments can be moved to any position on the belt. Once in place the pockets/attachments are held in place by Velcro to stop them from shifting (see photo). I am not a professional electrician but this belt has plenty of room for just about any tool I could imagine someone needing on the job (see detailed photo of the pockets / hammer attachment)
