Yes, they will cut metal just fine.
Yes, if you don't overwork it.
sizes fro 3/8" but you can always use with the larger 1/2" drill
As deep as you want, just drill in and when the hole bottoms out remove the plug with a screwdriver.
Q I have the Milwaukee hole set you asked about. And, yes, there are 11 hole saws because there are two slots that have hole saws nested together. One is the largest that is 2 1/2 and 2 1/4 inch saws nested together. The other is in the bottom right hand slot with an 1 1/2 and 1 3/4 inch saws nested together.
The answer is literally in the product description..."Includes 9 hole saw sizes, 3/4 in., 7/8 in., 1-1/8 in., 1-3/8 in., 1-1/2 in., 1-3/4 in., 2 in., 2-1/8 in. and 2-1/2 in., two arbors, 2 total pilot bits, hex key and case"
I've used saws of various sizes to cut holes in plexiglass. You might have to adjust the drill speed to optimize results.
They are bi-metal and the included instructions list mild steel, stainless steel, cast iron and aluminum. In my opinion, however, I would be cautious about using them on steel. Aluminum should be ok. I use them only on wood, so have no experience using on any metal.
yes
Yes your local Home Depot store should have replacement arbors of all the various sizes, available for individual purchase, along with individual replacements for all the hole saws themselves, they should be in the same section at your local store, that’s how it is at mine. PS. As you’ve seemingly discovered, Milwaukee doesn’t sell anything directly through their website, so finding anything on there can be difficult, I only reference they’re website for tool info, otherwise the best places to buy Milwaukee online are HomeDepot.com, cpomilwaukee.com (direct warehouse distributer for Milwaukee and other brands) those are the two best places to buy Milwaukee stuff, especially cause they automatically go with the sales and rebates that Milwaukee pushes, and I have quite a few Milwaukee tools so I know a little about where to buy. There is also toolbarn.com and acmetools.com. Ace hardware and most local hardware stores will carry Milwaukee too in my experience albeit a much smaller selection usually.
