Does the 1/4 and 3/8 ratchet combo kit (2 tool) come with a case like the individual ratchet kits

The 1/4 ratchet kit and the 3/8 ratchet kit come with a soft case for tool, battery and charger. Does the two tool combo kit come with a case for both ratchets, charger and two batteries?

Does this tool come with a warranty? if so how long of a warranty

Asked by: Franky
Company states no registration required and five years either from receipt which is better since may not have been sold for a period of time from manufacture or date code which is part of the serial number which starts from date of manufacture . Beware serial number wipes off of sticker quickly so unless receipt provided no warranty see my review. Remove sticker from tool on purchase and preserve especially if it was a gift with no receipt.

If used to break a fastener loose, is the a torque release mechanism preventing it?

Asked by: Frank
Switch towards the paddle locks it and prevents motorized operation ratchet is now however a mechanical ratchet. Because of body constuction [plastic] probably only useful to about 40 foot pounds then body twists increasing possibility of motorized malfunctions.

Why is the 1/4" ratchet $30.00 more than the 3/8" ratchet?
Asked by: Adam
Same tool different drive mechanism which I suppose allows the stated 5 foot pound difference. 1/4 drive just more popular so market driven supply and demand.

M12 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless 1/4 in. Ratchet (Tool-Only) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 173.

The wrench has enough power to extract most bolts and nuts that will fit into a 1/4" drive socket (i.e., 5mm to 13 mm or 1/4" to 1/2" sockets). If electric power will not break the nut or bolt free, the manual ratchet will do the job. Electric power is normally adequate to take the bolt or nut off once it is freed. Naturally, the wrench usually has a problem freeing larger nuts and bolts (i.e., 14mm, 15mm, 9/16" and 5/8" sockets), but it has enough power to move the nuts and bolts once they are free. The 3/8" version of this tool has more power, but the head with a 3/8" to 1/4" adapter and socket is too long to access many areas. My primary complaint is physical size. This ratchet is bigger than an air powered wrench. That is, this wrench is longer and larger in diameter. Given that the motor has plenty of power; a smaller model should be possible. I compare this wrench to my electric toothbrush and believe an engineer could build a better electric ratchet wrench. My secondary complaint is that there is no provision to lock sockets onto the wrench. During the first 10 uses of the wrench, I dropped two (2) sockets. My manual ratchets and extensions all lock the sockets so that they cannot drop. A wrench this expensive should lock onto the sockets. My third complaint is that the wrench has too much power to start nuts and bolts. Unless you are willing to risk cross-threading, nuts and bolts must be started manually and then tightened with the wrench. The alternative that I use is to start nuts and bolts with a 4.2-volt, adjustable torque, low power electric screwdriver and then use the electric ratchet wrench to tighten. It means changing tools and swapping sockets and is a hassle that should not be needed. A "low power" switch or setting should be easy to add and is a requirement. My final complaint is that the LED illuminates the socket instead of the work. When I am using the wrench in a tight space, I want to see the head of the bolt or nut as well as the end of the socket – especially deep sockets. The LED used in this wrench has such a tight beam that I cannot see well enough to get the socket onto the nut or bolt.

Unable to register on purchase website states not needed will use date code if no receipt provided. Serial number which has a portion used for date code gets wiped out from normal use under one year and only other warranty possible is with receipt if they can't read it on the tool (included box with serial number not sufficient). Mine lost it's socket retention ball at one year old (no abuse) and no help from company except pay for repair. Suggest scanning receipt when purchased and remove Milwaukee sticker off of tool and store to preserve serial number(date code) for warranty purposes. No five years as advertised for me though.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worked Well till it didn't. I purchased this cordless ratchet 8 months ago and use it every day at work. It worked well and did everything that I asked of it. But after a few months it started slipping out of gear and now it just doesn't work anymore. Phoned repair depot and parts are months away and he has a box of them waiting for parts. Not a good sign.

I work on jets in the airline industry and this tool is a knuckle saver in many of those hard to reach areas on the aircraft. It has tremendous torque and makes many jobs much easier than with a standard ratchet and socket. This tool has become a must have in a majority of my crews tool boxes. Thank you Milwaukee!

Is smaller and has less power than some competitors however it will fit in tighter places. As far a power you can always use it as a standard ratchet to break your bolt then go. The speed is faster than most others. Getting two batteries is a real bonus and they charge very quickly.
