The MILWAUKEE M12 Cordless High Performance Jig Saw is the most compact, lightest weight professional cordless jig saw on the market with its innovative Hybrid Grip design. The Hybrid Grip delivers greater control by bringing the grip closer to the material with a variable speed trigger. Piece of junk
The mechanism that retains the saw blade broke and fell out within the first 10 minutes of use cutting 1/2 plywood. I was very surprised and disgusted at the same time. I have a lot of money invested in Milwaukee tools , most of them are excellent this one definitely is not well made.

Jig saw
Very happy and works like I expected.
Don’t forget to remind the clear plastic pice that covers the blade when cutting metal because the hot blade will melt it.

THIS THING HAS SOLID OAK BALLS!
I got this little guy maybe a month or so ago to help me speed up my coping cuts and other delicate cuts for intricate casings/baseboards/crowns and LVP. Installed a nice oak grain LVP and was not able to find the matching stair tread caps so I decided to go with actual oak wood treads. I was seriously doubting if this thing had the guts to cut thru such a thick piece of hard wood. Indeed it did! I’d love to see Milwaukee Make an M12’FUEL version of this one day! Two suggestions, far brighter LED light, and possibly a little blower in front to keep the dust off my pencil line..

Blade not aligned with base
Saw wouldn't follow the cut line. First I found the shoe clamp adjustment from the factory was so loose the angle was changing mid cut. Adjusted shoe clamp tension and tried another cut with same outcome. On close inspection found the chuck holds the blade out of parallel relative to shoe. It's off by 5 degrees or more. Pathetic quality control, absolutely pathetic. This is the second Milwaukee jigsaw I've had to return. They used to be so good, but no more Milwaukee for me. Cheap Chinese crap.

Works but pulls to the right side
The jig saw pulls to the right as you’re cutting causing it to wreck the plastic guarding that is supplied. I have taken the blade out and tried multiple times thinking it’s just not in all the way but it’s in. For the price of this tool I expected it to cut straight at least.

Plate angle adjustment lever won’t stay locked in
1 star because the lever to adjust the plate angle will not stay locked in once you start cutting. I’ve had to zip tie mine just to keep it from coming loose in the middle of a cut. Hopefully when they come out with a fuel version this issue will get fixed. All my other m12 tools are great except for this one.
