Great Drill Set!
I love this Milwaukee Drill and battery charger set. The battery charges quickly and so far holds it's charge well. I really like that the handgrip isn't too big and fits comfortably in my hand. I love the spot light that shines on your project when you squeeze the trigger, makes every drill job so much easier to manage. I am really happy with this drill set.

Great Grip, Lightning Fast Battery Charge that lasts!
A drill and stud finder are the two tools I use most frequently. I do my own home improvement, design my own little film sets and cat furniture, as well as re-purpose vintage items. Out of the Box: A Sturdy Case, a Drill, two Red Lithium batteries, a Charger, and Manuals for both the Battery charger and the Drill. Battery charging was incredibly fast. I blinked, it was done. I'm used to borrowing an older drill with a battery pack . It takes hours to charge. Two important features for someone with arthritis are a good grip and easy battery removal. It has one of the two. The grip is rubberized and the right size for smaller hands, as pictured. When I'm having an RA flare up it takes two hands to remove the battery pack. As a test. I did a temp install of a camera. It needed one cememt screw hole. Although this isn't the right tool for drilling cement, it did the job. The next day I put together some wood parts to repurpose a round oak table with the same charged battery. Then, I let my drill sit for several days. Today, it's still powered and drilling holes. Before hurricane Katrina I installed plywood on the house windows, almost entirely myself. After the storm we had about 5 days without electricity. I was too tired to unscrew the cememt screws by hand. As for my other cordless drill I borrowed, the battery never held a charge that long. I purchased wing tipped nuts for cement screws after that. I don't want to be trapped a week in a boarded up house again. I've many questions about Lithium Battery Safety, Milwaukee's last recall was in 2007. They give a technical explanation of their Red Lithium battery at ToolSelect Tv on youtube. It explains what can go wrong, but they offer a 2-3 yr battery warranty. With that fact and the longer motor life of a Feul brushless motor, I'm hoping for longevity and many years of designs with this drill! There is a small light in the front of the drill which was helpful at dusk. The clip can hold a small paper for measurements or whatever. I found the indicator lights on the battery charger helpful. In a comparative review by a Popular magazine, the M12 Feul ranked as the best overall purchase from a group of major brands. I'm loving it! Need some red nail polish to match!

Impressive Performer ! !
I am impressed with the quality of this drill/driver. It comes in a sturdy, plastic case (looks good, too) with a comfortable swivel handle and metal snap locks. Everything is neatly seated inside and easy to remove. The drill has a good weight to it, yet not too heavy for my smaller hands. I like the way the rubberized grip fits my hand comfortably. After unpacking, the drill fuel gauge showed 2 out of the 4 indicator lights, so I charged the battery and it took only about 10 minutes to fully charge. It's really nice to have the 2 batteries included - a 2.0 AmpHour and a 4.0 AmpHour. Another good feature is that the batteries are lithium ion. The charger promises to charge the smaller 2.0 battery in 30 minutes, and the XC 4.0 battery in 60 minutes. There are sufficient options for speed and torque, and I was pleased with the quietness of the tool. It was easy to control the speed with the trigger. The ratcheting chuck is a nice feature, when snugging the bit in, you can hear the reassuring clicks to verify the tightness. Although I probably will not use the belt clip, I'm sure it would come in handy for others. This drill/driver is well worth the price and it will definitely be the first drill I'll grab when starting a project. We assembled a trellis with this, and still had plenty of battery power left.

An excellent piece of machinery
This is my first Milwaukee power tool and I am very impressed. The drill feels very solid yet is nice and light to handle. It is nice and compact - which is often important when working inside a small space. The combination of electronic speed control and the brushless motor make for a very smooth action. Batteries It comes with a small (2x) and a larger battery (4x) and both charged up pretty quickly. I have been using the small battery for over a week on jobs around the house and I have not yet had to charge it up again. The larger battery also provides a way of 'standing' the drill up rather like most on the market. The smaller one just looks like a short extension of the handle and is nice for working in tight spots where a bulky battery would get in the way. The battery charge indicator will be handy. Bits There are no bits included with the unit and that is fine, no need to push up the cost with some weird array of bits we may not ever use. I am however used to having a place to clip on a spare double ended bit for those time when one suddenly comes across a flat head screw one needs to take out. Belt clip Does not get in the way and can be moved to the other side if one prefers to hang it on the left. Light The LED light feature is very good. It stays on for a short while after pressing the trigger which is exactly what one needs - the light on without the drill turning so that one can get the bit onto the fastener and then start things turning. My old drill only puts the light on when the drill is turning - too late. Controls The torque control is easy to use and the chuck is solid and takes 1/2" (13mm) bit. A slide switch switches between two speed ranges (450 or 1700 RPM) Charger dead simple to use, plug in and push in a battery. Indicators show the charging status as one would expect. Overall An excellent piece of machinery

5 year tool warranty and a 2 year battery warranty
The drill comes with two battery packs and one charger. A small 2 amp hour battery fits neatly inside the handle, the larger 4 amp hour battery forms a foot at the base of the handle. The drill has a battery indicator light that shows how much charge the battery has. This is a real time saver, and prevents you from guessing when the battery is going to run out. There is nothing worse than being atop a ladder to find the battery dies half way through the task. Like most new power tools this drill has an LED light. I didn't found this at all useful. The grip is very comfortable. It is evident a lot of work went in to balancing the weight of this drill. The drill also has a tool belt clip, so you can hang it on your belt. This drill will not replace my DeWalt 36v cordless drill for all tasks, but it will enable me to do almost every task. I spent all weekend on the job site and this drill did everything I needed of it. The light weight to power ratio meant I got the job done without the usual fatigue of wielding a larger drill. Milwaukee offers a 5 year tool warranty and a 2 year battery warranty, so I'm not worried about my investment. The M!2 range of cordless power tools from Milwaukee utilizes brushless motors and lithium batteries. brushless motors give more power than conventional motors, and the lithium ion batteries provide a lot of power in a small form factor. Don't let its small size fool you, this is a must have in anyones tool collection.

Not as powerful as expected
Not as powerful as I would have expected for the value. When using a step bit with it it keeps catching and will not have enough power to keep spinning.

Decent but outdated now
I grabbed one of these from my local Home Depot and wasn't thrilled with the power output and size. I believe this was Milwaukees first M12 Fuel/brushless drill/driver (I could be wrong) so I gotta give them points for developing and releasing a decently compact tool with decent power and features back when they did. Due to it being outdated, and when directly compared to the newer 2503-22, it pales. Again, this probably broke ground when it was released and I can see it being great for the average user but I would skip it and grab model 2503 instead - it's smaller and better in almost every way.
This drill is an amazing piece to have in your han
I use this drill on many different projects like building cabinets, drywalling, and basically, anything you could think of to put screws into besides concrete drilling. But obviously Milwaukee makes other drills for that.
