Is there any potential damage to the anvil or function if I use the ratchet manually to loosen nuts by hand before using the trigger to remove the bolt? Or is it advised to use a different tool to loosen the nut and then switch to the high-speed?
Hey, Brian. Yes, you can use it manually for light loosening, but do not exceed its torque rating. For tough bolts, break them loose with a standard ratchet or breaker bar first, then use the M12 FUEL™ ratchet for fast removal.

This is the 2557-20 and according to Milwaukee this model has higher torque at 55 ft lobster and lower rim 200-250 rpm than the 2567-20 which has higher rpm 450 but lower torque at 35ft lbs. Hope this helps

Having used these, 'not really' 1/4 drive get used down to a few mm in size and this thing can easily destroy anything under 13-14mm head sizes in steel even with care. TBH, i use a blk/red 4V ratchet from BB store for small wrk. as they max 4ftlbs.
What is the power difference between 3/8 and 1/4
The 3/8 is 35 foot pounds. The 1/4 is approximately 20 i believe. I have both. More power than I thought it was gonna be. The 20 i mean foot pounds as well.
no difference, in fact, you can get a head and swap the body between the two sizes pretty easy. Which is why I think this is a little over powering for smaller 1/4 drive work.

Why is it that the rotating head gets hotter pretty quickly when you have said that the brushless motor is cooler than the non brushless. I tried to run the ratchet without load for 45 sec. continuously and it get hotter pretty quick. Please explain why??
