Answer

Hi there! You will typically get longer runtime with a larger battery. Our largest M18 battery is our M18 REDLITHIUM™ HIGH OUTPUT™ HD12.0 Battery Pack (48-11-1812).

whats 9.0Ah means n whats the diference between 9.0 3.0

You get longer run time with a 9.0 Amp-Hour battery than a 3.0 Amp-Hour battery. Higher ah batteries are better suited for "high demand" tools like a leaf blower or any tool that generally stays on/in use for longer periods of time.

Practically new 9.0 Ah battery poor charging 2 bar
Customer review from milwaukeetool.com logo
I love the Milwaukee range and I have so many tools in it this battery only charges two bars which is disappointing as it is not letting me do my job to the full capacity

VERY dissatisfied with the 9.0
Customer review from milwaukeetool.com logo
All of my cordless tools are used in a light residential setting. After using Milwaukee products at work for years I decided to replace all of my Ryobi with Milwaukee. I frequently use my tools at my hunting cabin where I have no power, and shelled out a ton of money on 4 9.0 batteries, two of the four didn’t last six months. The two so all of the same symptoms listed here, will never charge past two bars. I’m afraid I have 4 very expensive paper weights!

Won’t fully charge and dies very quickly
Customer review from milwaukeetool.com logo
Tried using this on my impact but it dies quicker than my 2ah batteries and won’t fully charge. It will only charge to 3 lights. Would not recommend this product very disappointed.

Not Charging Fully - less than 30 Charge Cycles.
Customer review from milwaukeetool.com logo
Run away from this battery, unless they've fixed the issues that cause it to start dying prematurely. Used to power my leaf blower for 30 minutes and now (after only about 30 charges) it usually charges to three bars and only lasts about 15-minutes. Originally, the battery indicator (when check every 5-10 minutes) would act normal and show the battery level slowly but steadily discharging, then most recently it's dropped substantially to 2 or 1 bars within around 10 minutes of use. I'm going to assume it's a bad cell or maybe even a couple. I'll charge it and it will only charge to 3 bars usually before the charger indicates the battery is full. About 2 charge attempts ago, the battery shut off and showed 1-bar, so I placed it on the charger, and it basically almost immediately jumped to 3 or 4 bars within a matter of minutes and either went to 3 or 4 bars and was green indicating full--it didn't last long after I let it cool and then used it. I really wish I'd read the reviews on this page before I purchased this battery, because I'd have never bought it. Not very often a product gets such bad reviews. I don't use my m18 drills, ratchet, impact ratchet or my m12 drill and impact driver very often (more so now that summer is here), but the fact that this highly-tiuted Milwaukee brand battery is dying so quickly has me immensely concerned. When using batteries in my tools (my blower being used most often to clean our our condo parking lot to make the place nicer for everyone), I've always let them cool completely before recharging as is best. Hopefully my m18 5.0A batteries and miscellaneous 2-6A m12 batteries don't suffer this same issue. I'd recently converted from being a Ryobi guy and never had this issue with their high-capacity batteries failing so quickly or at all--they didn't have any issues for the 5+ years I owned them and used them regularly before upgrading and changing brands. Have since invested over $1000 on Milwaukee and am biting my fingernails worrying about my batteries now.

Issues with charging to full capacity
Customer review from milwaukeetool.com logo
I have been a fan of Milwaukee products for several years. I use them in my business and at home. Every tool I have purchased is quality and stands up to heavy use. The one issue I have is with this battery. I have used it to power the string trimmer and the smaller circular saw. Two batteries came with the string trimmer and hedge trimmer. I have had issues with the Red Lithium battery 9.0 for several months as it only reaches two or three bars and typically only last a few minutes. The other identical battery is working flawlessly. Milwaukee any help you can provide to resolve this issue would be appreciated. Your products are 99% of the time reliable.
