Yes you can. I use only Paslode angled nails in it. Think it is up to a 2 1/2"

Does this come with the battery and charger? Lifetime warranty?

Asked by: Mighty
No battery or charger is included. The description on the tool's web page says "Bare Tool" and the specifications says "No additional components or accessories are included". I think the page is pretty clear. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-FUEL-18-Volt-16-Gauge-Angled-Finish-Nailer-Bare-Tool-2742-20/206973454 As for warranty, I don't know because Home Depot didn't publish warranty information as required by some regulatory agency. I don't think the warranty is lifetime because a warranty extension plan is sold as an option. This is a good question because it is sold on line only. It's also pretty important because you are making a $300 blind purchase and there is no link to the manufacture. This is a question Home Depot has to address.

Will this run with the red lithium 5.0 battery?

Asked by: Sam
Yes it does. I prefer to use the slim batteries to keep the weight down, but to each his own.

How much does the gun weight without battery attached?

How much does the gun weight without battery attached?
Asked by: Brian
The specs say that the nailer weighs 6.3 pounds. I believe that is without the battery, which would add maybe a pound more depending on the battery size.

I bought this to replace a 10-year-old 14 volt DeWalt 16ga angled nailer. So far, this nailer is so inconsistent with depth. Even in Pine trim, I am having to set a third of all the nails. Some are too deep, some are too shallow, etc. Plus I find this tool much more awkward than the DeWalt, when in corners or tight spaces. I am actually considering a return to find something else. The only real reason to keep this tool is the battery match with all my other tools.

It sets the nails perfect if held flat against the surface. When setting nails in the corners it does not set the nails flush. Not sure if any other nailer does. Very happy with the purchase.

I purchased the Dewalt 1 1/4 inch and 2 inch angled nails. Had no problems loading and dispensing the 1 1/4 inch nails. The 2 inch nails would not load. Turned out to be a bad leading nail (the head was too large). I just broke off the first nail and then it would load. I have 7 other Milwaukee M18 tools and they all perform flawlessly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be better I thought I was stepping up when I replaced my 8 yr old dewalt 18v nailer with this but I was wrong. The only thing that's better about this one is that it's lighter. I don't like how you have to hold a button for 3 seconds to power it on each time you use it. It doesn't stand upright on the battery. The magazine is offset from the nose which takes a limitless getting used to. But worst of all is the vibration this thing sends through your wrist. I've used air nailers, passloads, and the battery dewalt and never have I felt it up my arm when driving a nail like with this gun. Do t get me wrong, it's not unbearable or even painful, but it seems completely avoidable. How Milwaukee put out a tool that performs worse than a model that a competitor put out 10 years ago is crazy. I also don't like the depth adjustment. There are no markings to tell what it's set at. My dewalt had an easy to adjust dia that when from 1-6 with 3 being ideal in most applications. This is just turn it a few times and try it and hope for the best. I switched from dewalt to Milwaukee a few months ago and so far this is the only tool that I'm not satisfied with.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best cordless on the market I was a yellow guy for years and the past few years transitioned to the Milwaukee fuel line. This is hands down the best gun on the market. The recharge time between shots is incredible. The bump hit setting is cool but unnecessary in my opinion trim work should not be done that fast. If there was a 4.5 star rating I would use it. My only regrets is 1- like all Milwaukee tools the belt clip sucks and the screw pops out and it gets lost. 2- it is much heavier than air guns BUT no hoses so it is worth it for me (I frame houses and use this gun on a scaffold doing overhang trim work) 3 - it doesn't stand up on the battery so you have to lay it on its side. Not a big deal but for the price I think it should be designed to stand upright like competitors. Performance is phenomenal like all Milwaukee tools. Sinks nails every time. No misfires or double shots. Great battery life. If debating between this and the yellow one go Milwaukee it is a no brainer. I have no loyalty to either company I have yellow miter and corded circular saws and would recomend whichever is best. I have 2 yellow trim guns and 2 of these and the yellows sit in the truck because this gun is superior.
