Has Milwaukee done anything to improve this gun? I see nothing but bad reviews

Has Milwaukee done anything to improve this gun? I see nothing but bad reviews
Asked by: savior
Have not had a single issue with it, works great! A clean sink every time. You don't have to jam it forward for it to fire. Obviously if you do that it will damage the wood. I use it with a 3.0 battery.

Customer Reviews

M18 FUEL 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless 18-Gauge Cordless Brad Nailer with One 2.0 Ah Battery is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 199.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from bad tool I have been a milwaukee fanatic since i first got into the trade. I was taught to invest in tools that will last from the beginning. I have purchased and returned this tool 4 times in the span of 3 years. My first thought was, technology is fairly new and requires tuning, I then purchase it again (twice) and think maybe I just bought a bad tool in the bunch, then i purchased it for the last time and my thought now is that milwaukee has chosen to not fix this tool or remove it from their prodcut line until it is fixed. I was so hopeful that it would work because I want to keep the same battery on all my tools and for the simple fact that milwaukee is a great brand. I purchased the dewalt brad nailer and love it. I still have hope that I will one day be able to purchase this tool and it work. Milwaukee you did not lose me as a customer and I will continue to use your tools proudly but please fix this tool

I just returned this nailer because it was the worst tool purchase I ever made. I should have listened to all the negative reviews and just avoided it. I own several M18 fuel tools and wanted to add this to my collection and get rid of the Paslode impulse brad and finish guns ( even though they have performed flawlessly for the past ten years). HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT!! This brad nailer only shot 20 nails before I was all set with it. Several mangled nails and jams as well as inconsistent nail depths. I ended up returning both brad and angled finish guns. Too bad because the finish gun was awesome, but, I just don't want different platforms for nail guns. Oh well, I'll either stick with my Paslodes of possibly try the Hitachi cordless guns. I hear they are the best right now.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Left a scar, please redesign. Milwaukee, please fix this. I am a Milwaukee girl, won over from the Yellow brand, I have every 18 fuel tool you make, almost. I love them all, with the exception of this. It has left a 6"+ scar on my left arm, after having a severe "inability to complete nailing task of chair rail in wall", ricochet into left arm. Thank goodness it went left, for if it went right, it may have been very bad. But the, nearly year old, scar is very noticeable, and runs about the length of my entire inner forearm. Please advise people to not use this in old homes, with plaster, as this does not have enough rear end in it, to safely power thru the plaster walls. This can be a very serious matter, even with safety glasses. Now, I'm a big girl, and super glued my wound shut, but it probably should've had stitches.........I think someone may want to redesign this tool, before something else happens to someone else, and maybe they are not as "quiet" as I was. Thank you.

Unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. Not every brad sunk in all the way. And gun would not fire on occasion. Sorry Milwaukee but you need to take this back to the drawing board.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I ended up returning it. Doesn’t set nails as good... I ended up returning it. Doesn’t set nails as good as pneumatic nail gun. There’s an adjustment but even fully adjusted just wasn’t good enough. I suppose for light work it’s fine but trim on a whole house just doesn’t work.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Won’t sink 2” nails I own almost every Milwaukee Fuel product. This thing was super disapointing. Will not sink a 2” nail subflush. I returned it after a week. If all you do is shoot 1” nails it works great. What happened Milwaukee?
