Q:How do I know if I have A M18 Gen. One or Gen. 2 nail gun
by|Dec 1, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  Good question, Milwaukee Tool recently started advertising the new tools as Gen II. I have not observed any markings on the tools to tell the difference. Be careful of tools with lower prices or part of a tool bundle, they are usually Gen I tools.

Q:What a different between brad nailer and framing nailer?? Which one is stronger???
    by|Nov 25, 2023
    1 Answer
    Answer This Question

A:  Depending on the application you are performing, you will need a different size nail. A brad nailer, for example, shoots nails that are 3/8 inch to 1 1/4 inches in length, while a larger framing nailer typically shoots nails from 2 to 3 1/2 inches in length. - Milwaukee Tool, Socail Team

A:  15 gauge is larger than 16 gauge which is larger than 18 gauge. I've noticed the sizes work like wiring. The smaller the number of the gauge the thicker/bigger the nail/wire. I can't answer the rest of your questions.

              Efficient tool, cheap tip
Tool works well in both modes and adjusting the depth is quick and easy but destroyed the ripper tip before finishing the first box of brads. Now have to be extra careful not to damage trim while installing.

                Jams every other time
Just recently purchased the nailer. I am using 1-3/4 nails. It does nothing but jam every time, lock out and cause nothing but issues on the job. Will be returning.

                  Nails jam always
The first time I used it was ok phenomenal, not even 1 month later the nails jam every single time, I’m using the 18 gauge nails obviously and still, this is the worst gun, don’t take me wrong Milwaukee it’s a good brand, but, with this one they didn’t do it right, I used dewy guns and never had a problem, also poor quality in the loader spring

                    Dependable and Enduring
After the first charge subsequent charges seem a bit quicker even when the battery is completely empty. This is a big battery pack runs for a long time. It's hard to give a definitive time because different tools use different power.

                        Started nice. Then failed.
First 9 months this was a champ. Then, suddenly couldn't sink nails. I purchased a new one to replace, first day on the job 50% of shots were dry fire. Tried different nails, different batteries, nothing worked. I loved it when new, but no longer trust it.
