The first thing that you should do is to check the battery. I have had issues with Makita batteries in that past. That led me to get rid of my Makita gear. I have had trigger problems with 18V DeWalts in the past. I still have a lot of these and the Ridgids that I purchased in place of them. The 20V DeWalt system is wonderful. I have a few Milwaukee 18V tools. I wish that I had started with these.

When I encountered this situation, I spoke with them and they told me to return the item that I bought and repurchase it at the lower price. That seemed to be too much work, so I purchased another at the lower price. That is all of my experience with this situation. (There are times when it pays to be smarter than the opposition.)

What a great piece of equipment. You get two hammer drills, two 18 volt batteries and one charger. The charger will charger two different types of batteries. The charge last a long time. The hammer drill allows you to get into tight spots. Everything comes in a hard case for travel. There is a extra handle for the impact drill to allow more pressure when installing a fastener. The hole package is well worth the money.

(What's this)
This kit offers a great combination of a Surge 1/4 in. Hex Hydraulic Driver (2760-20), Hammer Drill (2804-20), charger, two batteries and a molded case. The hammer drill features a brushless motor, integrated LED and includes a side handle but it does not include a depth stop. Milwaukee advertizes this model as compact at 6.9 inches. It has the ability to be set for hammer, drill and screw modes (with clutch settings) via a single setting ring. It has a two speed selector switch (0-550 and 0-2000 RPM). The hammer function is rated at 0-32,000 BPM. The clutch for screw mode is rated as follows: 1-4: 24-40 in. lbs 5-8: 45-60 in. lbs 9-11: 65-75 in. lbs 12-14: 80-90 in. lbs The impact wrench also features a brushless motor with a hydraulic power train and an integrated LED. I like the collar on the impact wrench as bits can be inserted and locked in without touching the collar. Removal does require pulling the collar back with one hand and pulling out the bit with your other hand. Speed is variable based on how much one squeezes the trigger but one can also control maximum RPM via a switch for selecting four different modes. 1 – 900 RPM 2 – 2100 RPM 3 – 3000 RPM 4 – Driving mode for self tapping screws in sheet metal (reduces stripping and breaking) The included charger is model 48-59-1812 and can charge both M18 and M12 batteries. The included batteries are M18 RED Lithium XC 5.0 model 48-11-1850. I used the hammer drill to create holes in a block wall. Using hammer mode to drill in this type of material is much faster than using drill mode. The hammer drill does make more noise than drill mode but it is worth it to get through the hard surface quickly. The impact driver was used to sink screws into the block wall. If you have never used an impact driver before, I highly recommend them. They drive screws significantly quicker than a regular drill. Once you try one you won’t go back to using a regular drill. The hydraulic power train is a huge improvement. With a normal impact driver, there is a lot of noise and vibration from the impact mechanism. With this hydraulic model there is very little noise and vibration. Both the drill and impact driver worked very well during my testing. They felt good in my hand and performed their intended task exceptionally well. Having the various power and speed levels via button selection on the tool is very helpful by allowing you to use the right amount of power and speed for your particular project. Overall this is a great kit. Milwaukee provides a 5 year warranty on the tools and a 3 year warranty on the batteries.

(What's this)
The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Surge Impact and Hammer Drill Combo Kit 2-Tool with (2) 5.0Ah Batteries has got to be some of the finest equipment I've ever owned. I was first introduced to the Milwaukee M18 Fuel lineup when my employer bought me the cordless hammer drill. When I saw this combo kit was available I knew I had to have it. I didn't think it was possible to get this kind of power out of a cordless tool. You definitely need to be cognizant of the settings as I've snapped the heads off of a few screws. Actually, this is my first experience with a dedicated driver. I have always used a drill for driving screws but the lighter weight and compact body has earned it a place in my toolbox. I can't speak to how long these batteries can last because I've never ran out of juice on any job. They just seem to keep going. When I think to myself "it's got to be about done" I press the battery indicator button and see it still has 3/4 of it's life left. These things run marathons around my 20-volt DeWalts. I tried to find something negative about these and is the best I can come up with is that the drill is a bit heavy. Fortunately, in my mind that means sturdy. You can't go wrong with this combo set. I highly recommend.

(What's this)
Milwaukee brings you to the market a combination, battery operated 1/2 inch drill/driver and hammer drill/driver. The second drill is a 1/4 inch hex hydraulic driver. Each comes with a rechargeable M18 li-ion battery and rapid battery charger. Charger is easy in and out feature. Milwaukee drills are built to take one any job possible. The 1/2 inch drill can be used as a conventional drill and as a driver with the removable side handle for better control. The is an easy to adjust torque selection ring to obtain the correct torque for the job. The 1/4 inch hex dydraulic features an LED light to give you a clear visual sight. Multiple torque speed options for any job. For those job the require multiple bits it has a convenient bit holder. No more having to search for a second needed bit. Both drills have easy to reach and activate control switch. Each drill also has temperature protection feature to prevent damage to the drill. Easy to clean and store in one area. Both drills come with a 5 year warranty. These are both made to last.

(What's this)
Honestly, I was worried when Milwaukee started making their tools in China. I don't know why, because it so happens that many of the best tools on the planet are made there. Milwaukee must be at the top of the list. If tools can be beautiful, these babies certainly are it. The design, precision, balance and operation is perfect. Where once the venerable Hole-Hawg carried the day, I can see the M18 Fuel tools taking its place. Never could I have imagined cutting a 2 1/8" hole using a self-feed bit through a double-stud plate with a cordless screwdriver, but here it is. The new 2804-20 hammer drill/driver (included in the 2999-22 kit) is unbelievable. You definitely need to install the included side handle because of the torque. Time will tell how well it holds up to the rigors of the job, but the 5-year warranty gives a greater sense of security. Couple that with the 2760-20 impact driver and you have a winning combination. Over the years I have owned nearly every one of the big name impact drivers. This one, however, is the best! Others have said it’s quieter, but I can’t say whether that’s true or not. The drive head is very compact and even with a big 5.0-amp battery installed the tool is very well balanced. The added weight actually helps when driving. It is the first impact driver I have owned that offers drill speed selection (3 speeds from 0-900 RPM to 3000 RPM) in addition to a variable speed trigger. There is also a selection for sinking self-tapping screws in metal that is intended to reduce stripping, screw breaking and work surface damage. This has always been a task that requires a bit of finesse, especially with sheet-metal. The only issue I can see with the kit is with the molded plastic case. It is so perfectly designed for the tools, charger and side handle that there is little room for bits, tips and fittings. So, I took my job saw and file to the owner’s manual slot. Now my little Ace Hardware accessory box fits in there perfectly (see pics below). I’ll want to upgrade to a nice soft tool bag when I add some of the 150+ Milwaukee tools that use this same battery, anyway. So, no biggie. The kit also includes the 48-59-1812 multi-volt charger and two of the 5.0 amp batteries. To sum this all up…these are truly professional grade tools. A homeowner/DIYer would never need to buy another kit like it. With two batteries you could probably run all day without recharging. Is it worth it? Absolutely!

This M18 Reciprocating saw model 2621-20 is really nice to use and very reasonably priced. I tried it with both with a 12" Diablo pruning blade with 3 TPI and a Lenox 12" 6 TPI nail embedded wood power blast blade. It worked great with both, for cutting a PT 4x4 like butter, cedar 2x4's, tree limbs and for cutting up oak shipping pallets. The tool feels comfortable in hand, with plenty of power and it's SO nice not having to drag around 100's of feet of extension cords to get jobs done! (and then having to wrap it up afterwards too!, what a pain!) I have two of the XC batteries, and so far have not run out of power before completing my projects. If you'll be using it professionally, you might want to rotate 3 batteries. A few things that you might find helpful. 1. The blade can be loaded either teeth facing up or down, which is nice for getting in tight areas. You can even plunge cut either way into wood. 2. The loading of the blade couldn't be easier: a. take the battery out b. move the spring loaded lever up and insert the blade c. just release the lever to lock it in d. replace the battery. It literally takes 10 seconds! No tools needed, or to get lost,YES! 3. There is less vibration and a lot less noise than my older 120V plug in Dewalt 4. It has an electronic brake that stops the saw in less than 2 seconds. 5. The directions are in English, Spanish & French 6. With the Diablo pruning blade (available at HD Model # DS1203CP Internet #301697673 Store SKU #1002558203), you might want to leave your chain saw in the shed...really! For trimming limbs to cutting down saplings or sumac, to cutting firewood into smaller pieces nothing beats this combo. And, nice clean cuts with almost no sawdust to clean up after either! 7. There is a trigger lock, which is nice when you're carrying the tool around, no accidental starts. 8. It does NOT come with a blade, battery or charger. 9. It has a nice variable speed trigger, with good control. 10. With an XC battery & 12" blade it weighs 8.8 lb. 11. Battery size doesn't effect performance at all, just the length of run time. So if you have a short use job don't be afraid to use a small battery and loose the weight. In conclusion, after decades of using a corded recip saw, this is just absolutely fantastic! A dream come true! No more climbing ladders with heavy duty 12 gauge extension cords that get caught on everything, or going into crawl spaces and getting the extension cord caught on a corner, or fumbling in low light trying to change a blade. You get the idea...There are even new blades available for scraping and wire brushing for rust removal, You're going to love this saw and find many different uses for it! Hope this helps you!
