Is this Milwaukee drill driver a good residential + drill? I’m tired of buying an 18V “ light green” 1/2” brushless one ever year. Chucks goes bad quickly

Will I be able to use the ground rod driver bit while in hammer mode?
Hi, Jake. The hammer drill is for drilling masonry, not impact driving rods. Use an M18 SDS-Plus or SDS-Max Rotary Hammer in hammer-only mode with the proper ground rod driver bit.
will this drill be able to use with and ice auger to cut holes in ice?
Does anyone know if there is a protective boot for this model? 2904-20 M18 1/2"
Milwaukee does not currently offer an official protective boot for the M18 FUEL™ 1/2" Hammer Drill/Driver. The protective boots Milwaukee makes, such as 49-16-2967 for the High Torque Impact Wrench and 49-16-2960 for Mid-Torque models, are specifically designed for impact wrenches and are not compatible with drills. Using a boot intended for another tool could interfere with cooling, damage the motor, or void the warranty.
Does the 18v hammer drill come with a bag
Hi, Shay. The M18 18V Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 1/2 in. Compact Hammer Drill/Driver (Tool-Only) only includes the tool. It does not include a bag.
