The MILWAUKEE M18 FUEL 12 in. Dual Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw with ONE-KEY generates the power of 15 Amp corded saws and is designed for the professional carpenter, remodeler and general contractor. Great saw, with a truly AWFUL dust bag zipper
Love the saw, everything up until - of all things - the dust collection bag fails.
Seriously? Who builds anything with a zipper that doesn't self-heal? YKK has been making them for decades, and maybe it would have cost a dollar more to buy a zipper that actually works.
Sorry to rant, but I am a homeowner who bought the tool more as a novelty rather than than to overuse it. And having to replace the whole collector assembly for the sake of a crappy zipper just adds insult.

Beware
This is the 2nd one I've gotten the save problem keeps happening. Works good for about 10 cuts or so then the break fails and is like it trips something in the battery, the power level on the battery blinks put on charger says its full battery. Then saw works for a cut and it happens again. I've bought new 12amp hour batteries still does it. I'm a huge Milwaukee fan that's all I use but this saw is casting me more and more money.

This saw is a cut above the rest. I love the brake on the blade and the light shows exactly where the cut is. Great purchase.

Battery Issues!
I really liked this saw, having cordless and a brake are two big features that were a nice upgrade when I bought it. However, I only used the saw for about 2 months before I had the problems which it sounds like everyone else is having. Saw killing batteries, stopped on me in the middle of a trim job, had to run and get my old saw. I dropped it off at service center but already looking at other options seeing as others have had it replaced multiple times already. I like the M18 platform, I have plenty of tools and batteries but at the end of the day there is work to get done and I need tools to be reliable. Like most of you, I dont really have the time to be taking a miter saw in every few months. Is there any permanent solution from Milwaukee? Or are they willing to refund or credit towards another tool? I would be interested as I'm scared of relying on this one.

Good but needs a slide lock latch.
Good so far but needs a slide lock latch, minor injury to my thumb when I lifted it off the stand and slide lock screw wasn't enough to hold, safety issue

Great saw
Been wanting a chopsaw for a while at my job. A lot of carpenters have the Dewalt 780 12 inch I did not want to go that route. Thankfully, Milwaukee redesigned and came out with the 12 inch so I had to pull the trigger. Has great feel, angle rotate is smooth tons of power especially with the 12 ah battery, the battery life has been amazing. Showed up to work with it. Everybody couldn’t stop watching me un box it. A Carpenter at work took it from me and has been using it since.

I well not buy this item .
This saw was amazing the first time I bought it then in the middle of my job it stops working . 3 months into my jobs . Now this my second one going out . Im writing this review to saw that this miter saw is not built for the professional that uses it every day . To give a better description. It makes a grinding noise after stops that’s gonna tell you eventually it’s on his last life . Then of course in the middle of a job . It’s done .

Nice power/almost perfect calibration out of box
Seems to make nearly perfect cuts straight out of box and therefore i’ve yet to bother with calibrating. Although I have not cut hard wood yet, there seems to be plenty of power packed into this unit for just 18v. Keep in mind that this is my experience and yours may be different. This is currently my favorite wood work tool and with it art in the form of home remodeling has been a blast. I’m Satisfied and would recommend, but I’d love to see a future battery operated miter and tablesaw with additional corded alternative, MILWAUKEE… your batteries are not cheap. Lol

Out of service for the second time. Do not buy this. It’s a lemon but Milwaukee is not interested in replacing it.
