The 2.5 layer rain shell is designed with ripstop polyester for tear and abrasion resistance and a polyurethane laminate to keep you dry all day. The heated coats are available in gray with sizes ranging from small to 3XL. Garbage
Puffy jacket tears extremely easily. Rainshell wore out along all the folds and zipper fell off. Battery exploded. Repair centre claimed regular wear and tear. Very disappointing waste of money and I am very much soured on Milwaukee altogether. I wish I never invested thousands of dollars into their tools. The people who left good reviews probably left them when they first got it, or mine had several horribly defective components. Charger does still work. Didn't last a year despite being in storage half of it.

The material on the jacket is great , the length also great, one suggestion is I would design a new one with side pockets, keep the two front pockets but add two more sideways so when is rain and you are walking and want to put your hand in the pockets, the rain does NOT fill up your pockets with Wa

My husband loves the fit and style of the coat. I ordered this for him for his birthday and because he works outside and the weather in michigan is nothing but ordinary. The box was delivered today, MISSING the battery, the wall charger, and the portable charger all that is stated right on the box it comes with. I first contacted home depot whom gave me the option to return it or contact Milwaukee directly for the replacement pieces (because it has a manufacturer's warranty on it apparently). I then spoke to Milwaukee and they informed me that i had to deal with home depot because thats who i purchased it from. SO back to home depot, these were my options: 1. Keep the coat (no battery or anything) 2. Return and buy another while i was there dropping off the first one that was missing pieces (2 charges of almost 300$ on my card) 3. Drop off the first one .. wait 3 to 5 business days for the credit to go back on my card and then order another and hope the second one comes correctly or i would be back at square one! For this coat costing so much money i cant believe this is what i get .. happy birthday hunny what a awesome gift.

Very happy with this product overall. Especially like that these recent Milwaukee heated products come up to temperature even quicker than before, since for work I'm in and out of this constantly.
The only issue is that I do find the hood of the rainshell terribly over-sized - almost to the point of being unusable. Can only guess that it's intended to be able to maybe fit over a hard hat. Jacket itself does fit a bit tight, but I do believe I may be to blame for that! I think the inner heated layer does work better with a snug fit. I'll probably be wearing the jacket under a heavy over-sized sweatshirt most of the time.

This MILWAUKEE M12 Heated AXIS Layering System consists of a heated quilted inner jacket and a HYDROBREAK outer waterproof rain shell. Both can be used separately but are really designed to be use together. Both pieces are high quality pieces of outerwear. The inner jacket features is a very handsome, although rather thin, quilted pattern on a polyester material with a silky looking finish. It is both wind and rain resistant. There are accents in a deep black material across the shoulders and on the inner arms and down the sides of the jacket and around the cuffs. Milwaukee calls these areas “High Wear Zones”. The effect, however, is a two tone coat that I think looks expensive and extremely attractive. It is in this inner jacket where the carbon heating elements are located. This is the first of MILWAUKEE’S heated jackets that has 2 separately controlled heating zones: ZONE 1 covers the back and chest, ZONE 2 covers the shoulder and neck area. Both are controlled by a set of rubberized buttons located on the left chest of the jacket. To activate the heat, press and hold the button(s) for a few seconds. The button will grow RED. Repeated pressing of the button(s) will cycle the heat through RED-HIGH, WHITE-MEDIUM, BLUE-LOW. Press and hold and the heat turns off. MILWAUKEE says this electric jacket heats 3x faster than their other outerwear pieces. There is an adjustable waist and Velcro to cinch the cuffs tight around the wrists. The front has a full plastic zipper that runs up to the very end to close snuggly around the neck. The M12 12v battery is located in a dedicated pocket just before the midline of the back of the jacket. A completely discharged battery will charge fully in about 2 hours in its own compact charger. The battery has a LED fuel gauge that shows the charge level. It should last for approximately 8 hours on LOW. The grey and black outer rain shell, that MILWAUKEE calls a HYDROBREAK, is made of ripstop polyester material for tear and abrasion resistance. It is coated in a polyurethane laminate making it waterproof. There is a Velcro closure flap over the front zipper, on the 2 front pockets, and around the wrists for extra water protection. A fully adjustable hood completes the rain protection package. The compact battery is covered by a 2 year warranty. The jacket is covered by a 1 year warranty. It is imported.

O.K, first the Bad, then the Good:
The battery placement sucks, because it pushes in on your rear left, just beneath the rib cage, NOT comfortable. And why on earth did they NOT make a FLAT battery??
The good:
It was easy to reroute the power cord to the left pocket, but that battery is still to large, because it IS NOT FLAT.
The Bad:
There is NO FLAT BATTERY AVAILABLE, or even a thin one.
The Good:
It is a comfortable jacket, and warm enough that I did not need to turn it on until it got below 40 degrees outside.
The Bad:
The battery that is supplied [basic ROUND, uncomfortable battery] will last about two hours, if it is above 30 degrees.
The Good:
There are TWO switches for the heat, and they work High/Medium/Low. One that controls the torso heat, and the other that controls heat on the sleeves.
The Other Bad:
The instructions really need to be printed larger, several people I showed it to had trouble reading it.
Go to the Milwaukee web site, download the instructions, print them out on an 8.5x11 page!
The other Good:
The rain jacket is nice, and it works, either worn by itself, or over the heated jacket..
