    Another Great Milwaukee M12 Product!
The Milwaukee M12 heated vest is another great product using the M12,12 volt battery system. As you would expect, this will work with all M12 batteries. Using the standard small 2.0 M12 battery, the runtime of the vest is 2 hours on high, 4 hours on medium and 8 hours on the low setting. The vest has a battery holder which clicks in a M12 battery and plugs into the vest in a special pocket on the left side back region, or can be kept in the left front pocket. The battery does not seem to get in your way when performing tasks or sitting down. The heating elements are advertised as carbon fiber coils, these coils work with the inner liner to transfer the heat to the inside of the vest to keep you warm. The coils only are in the upper half, on both front and back of the vest, however they do heat up very quickly for warmth you can feel right away. To turn on the heating feature you need to hold the power button down for about 2 seconds, then you hit the button again to select the heat setting. The sizing seems to run a little on the big side. The instructions state to not in rain or wet conditions, however I have used this in a light rain and the outer shell has rain resistance, so the inside stayed nice and dry and did not have problems with the heating elements. The outer shell is made of stretch polyester that is stain resistant. Another great thing about this heated M12 gear is that it is machine washable and machine dryable (must disconnect and remove battery). This gear comes with a 1 year warranty. I am now ready for working outside this winter, staying warm without the added bulk of many layers- just my Milwaukee M12 heated vest!

    Cheaper, less features, less quality.
This new vest isn't very different from the old one but it feels cheaper because it's thinner, the wiring inside is seen and felt through the material and sticks out like a sore thumb, they didn't even bother separating the battery compartment from the left pocket... The battery adapter no longer has a USB port, a button nor does it show the remaining charge available.Style-wise, well, there isn't any but it's also not comfortable to wear either, made without much care and with absolutely no intuition or second thoughts for the end-user. The battery pocket is still very uncomfortable and badly placed, the battery sticks out all the same but, unlike the hoodie, there isn't anything to hold it in place so it wobbles around and it's very annoying. I kind of liked the previous iteration of vests and expected them to be improved with the next generation but instead they seem to have found a way to cut a few corners and make them as cheaply as possible. It won't protect against anything without constant heating because it's paper-thin, I'm VERY disappointed in Milwaukee and won't buy the new hoodie, I'm sure they have taken these same cost-saving measures across the lineup of heated gear. This is an EXTREME disappointment for me, Milwaukee really let me down...

      Really works!
I was skeptical about if this would really keep you warm or if it was just a gimmick. I can confirm, it really works! They've clustered the heating wires high on the chest (ribcage area mostly) which seems to be part of the reason it works so well, because it's not wasting energy heating air space in your jacket. It does run a little large but not large enough that I would say order a size down... just plan on wearing something thick like a hoodie under it (if you were planning on wearing tees under it I think it's going to be flopping around on you). It uses the M12 canister style battery (the one that looks like two D-cells stacked on top of eachother. I only need to use this for an hour or two at most and the battery keeps up and has lot's of life left - but I can't speak to how it performs over a full 8 hour day without charging. The battery pack (including the large plastic battery holder) can be removed from the pocket leaving you with a normal vest. The wires add a touch of weight, but barely noticeable. Most of the weight really comes from the battery. There are three heat levels and they are controlled by the little logo on the chest. The logo also has a small LED indicator to let you now when it's running. I've been very happy with this and will be looking into more of the M12 heated gear!

Warm, comfortable, rugged - battery and charger not included
I have, and love, the Milwaukee heated jacket, but sometimes it is a bit "too much", so this heated vest is a great alternative. The outer fabric is rugged nylon, the vest is lined with a soft fabric, as are the two outer zip pockets and an inner zip pocket good for a cellphone. The jacket is powered by an M12 battery (not supplied) that snaps into a connecting cradle. A long cord in one of the pockets has a barrel connector on the end - this plugs into the cradle. I was puzzled to note that, unlike the similar cradle that came with my jacket, the one with the vest doesn't have a USB charging port, so you will need to have an M12 battery charger available as well. While there is a separate zip pocket for the battery, it is open to the regular zip pocket on that side. To turn on the heat, press and hold the M12 logo. There are three heat levels, indicated by the number of red bars illuminated. I found the heat to be gentle and comfortable, front and back. In milder weather, you may find that the vest is fine without heat.

      Deserves more than 5 stars.
The description for this MILWAUKEE X-Large MEN’s Grey Heated Vest stated that it would arrive Without Batteries. In reality, however, MILWAUKEE included the M12 battery as well as the charger. Great service from a reliable and high-quality manufacturer. I wish it were possible to give more than five stars. There are three levels of heat and with that push on the logo, an OFF choice as well. The Grey fabric has a smooth finish and is very comfortable to wear and to feel. In addition to the battery pocket which contains the pin-connector, there are several more. The XL size is perfect for someone 5’9” and weighing 185 pounds.

      Excellent vest and high quality
Another excellent M12 heated vest by Milwaukee. This one hits the mark in many categories. My observations: • Great looking vest. You can be proud wearing this to work, around town, hunting, tailgating, working outside, etc. • The quality is top notch. I could not find any type of quality issue. Everything worked as I expected and the stitching, zippers, pockets, controls are all high level. • This item comes with the vest and one battery holder. Keep in mind this battery holder is the basic one that Milwaukee sells. It does not have a fuel gauge or a USB to charge a phone. • The heat will be felt in the chest and upper back. When I turned it on, I felt mild heat within 10 seconds, good heat around 20 seconds, and strong heat at 30 seconds. • Battery life: I’ve found the Milwaukee advertised times to be accurate. Obviously, it all depends on type of M12 battery you are using and if you like High, Med, or Low heat. I typically use Low heat and I can easily get 8 hours or more especially if I use an M12 3.0 Ah. • The last couple of years I see more Milwaukee jackets/vests with the battery pass-through in the pockets. This is huge for comfort especially when sitting or driving. This allows me to move the battery into a more comfortable position. • Plenty of pockets and all are zipped for security. I really like the interior pocket for valuables. • The vest is made tough. You will find it very difficult to tear or damage it. • You can adjust the waist to for a better fit. • I enjoy wearing this vest with or without the battery. Because this is such high-quality vest, I often don’t even bring a battery but it’s nice to know it’s heated when I need it for the frigid days. • This vest does come out of the box wrinkled and I mean seriously wrinkled. I’ve managed to work most of the wrinkles out, but it may take more time and careful ironing to complete the job. This vest is exactly what I was hoping it would be. High quality, strong heat, looks great, and comfortable to wear all day. I highly recommend.

      Very nice and warm!
Great quality and design in this gray heated vest! Adjustable comfort with the 3 heating modes. This vest has an extra quick heat function that reaches the needed temperature rapidly. I like the fit and flexibility of this vest, it is very comfortable. The M12 battery is compatible with other tools and heated gear that I have from Milwaukee. The vest has 3 pockets with zippers, two in front and one back for the battery. The M12 battery charges quickly but is bulky and uncomfortable when installed in the back battery pocket while sitting.

      Check the sizing!
I loved the Milwaukee jacket i got last year so i wanted to add to my arsenal. Whatever size you currently wear...SIZE DOWN. I typically wear a large. Im 5'9 170 lbs and i was swimming in this vest. I let my friend try it on. Hes 6'4 210 and it fit him perfectly. Since viewing it online, there is no a sizing specs provided, which shows that a large is made for size 36 1/2 - 38 1/2 waist. The jacket heats up quick on the chest and back and the material is great. Other than the sizing issue, it's a great product.

      Very nice and Heavy Duty
Milwaukee Men's X-Large M12 12V Lithium-Ion Cordless TOUGHSHELL Gray Heated Vest (Vest Only)I What a great vest. The X-Large vest fits over a heavy shirt and the cut of the vest does not bind your arms. The pockets are large and have a heavy-duty zipper that appears will last. The top left of the control for the heat is easy to reach and the light indicator is bright enough to see without squinting. The vest does come with the adapter so you can use your existing M-12 batteries. The vest is very comfortable, and I will be wearing it a lot when the weather gets colder. The vest will let you stay warm without the need of a heavy jacket.

      Another Quality Product From Milwaukee
Another great product from Milwaukee, a name synonymous with quality and reliability. This is a great product to keep warm this winter while the heating coils located in the back and chest area, keep you comfy. This vest does not come with the battery (M12) but can be purchased separately at your local Home Depot. What makes this vest different than other brands is the layering on the insulated material used in constructing the vest. The outer layer is constructed of two layers of polyester which makes it waterproof and blizzard proof. Then the heating coils are protected with a layer of insulating material to trap heat from escaping. The heating coils is constructed carbon fiber which generates the heat and the liner optimizes the transfer of heat from the carbon fiber coils. The M12 button with the power scale on the exterior is pressed for two seconds and will turn on high and the led will illuminate with three bars lite. The degree of heat can be adjusted to the desired level by pressing the power button and can be turned off by pressing and holding power button for two seconds. Manufacturer states that with a fully charged battery, one can expect an AL-DAY RUN-TIME. Carries a one year warranty.
