Milwaukee has manufacturing in the US, China and Eurpoe. Like most companies, a bulk of their manufacturing is done in China.

Are they insulated?

Asked by Ryanh3 August 7, 2017

They are insulated but supposedly not against electrical shock. I have used them many times cutting hot wires, just keep your fingers/hands off the metal and never cut more than one wire at a time.

Can I exchange the old ones for this improved model. the clips broke and my cutters don't stay closed

Milwaukee makes great power tools, but hand tools are something else
I bought this wire stripper the other day, and the plier came out of the package mis-aligned. This wasn't even subtle, but was glaring. I don't expect these pliers to last very long, even for a forged tool such as this one. Milwaukee makes great power tools, but hand tools is not their forte. For hand tools, stick with the Kleins or Knipex--they're 2-3 times the cost, but will last a lifetime.

Really great multi use wire strippers!!
I don’t do a whole lot of electrical work, but these pliers have covered all the electrical work I have done so far. The wire strippers work great, cutting wires are easy, and being that they are also pliers I have used them for non-electrical related applications as well.

Milwaukee Electrical Pliers
I've had these pliers for a few months now and I'm a big fan - I'm not an electrician but got these for adding new drops and lights in my shop. These are very comfortable to use, they strip wire well without leaving scoring marks on the core of of the wire, they function well as needle-nose pliers, and they cut wire well. I've cut 14/2 and 12/2 romex with these with little effort. Now that I'm done wiring new drops (for now) I keep this in my hand tool bag for doing punch list tasks in our house we are renovating. All in all this is a great hand tool, does its job well, and is quite comfortable

Very instinctive features
I’ve had these about a year now getting medium light use because I am mostly retired. They are very instinctive to use. You can easily grab a wire or some small object, cutter is in the right place for quick cuts. The over lap cutting blades do nick up a little because the edges are a bit thin and sharp, but I was able to easily dress them up if needed. The strippers are also very good, but sharp, so don’t get any skin in there.. As for comparing to the other big name strips they hold their own place, I like using the big K too. All good, I’ll give them a five!

Very well made tool. It feels good in the hand, cuts and strips as I’d expect. The grips look like they’ll hold up well in the long run. I got this with other Milwaukee tools in the HD special $20 off $100. Great gift item. Made in Taiwan.

This plier set works very well and the set is priced very reasonably. The pliers have a great feel in the hand. They are built very well and are very sturdy there is no flex when a lot of pressure is applied. Definitely recommend this product.

Top Notch Pliers
Picked these up a few days ago as my road set was getting chewed up. Right out of the package they feel well built and comfortable in hand. They are well worth the price as i expect them to last decades. I’v always average pliers and these are a big upgrade. Highly recommend.

Good Construction
Ive been using theses wire strippers for the past 6 months in pretty heavy use conditions all with no issues . The tool is very well constructed with all moving parts remaining tight and functional. The wire striping gauges on the tool seem to be accurate when stripping wire there is never a 2nd take at it removes 1st pull. The threaded holes on the tool work very well to cut, then clean the treads back up on screws that need trimmed (used often for triming outlet screws on shallow receptacle boxes) the only complaint I would have with the tool would be not having the ability to crimp butt splice couplings i do need that function from time to time and would be a nice added feature.
