After i posted the answer,I tried it against and was able to push the adapter all the way in . It was a snug fit & no more wobbling. It did take some efforts though.

Yes it worked on my Ridgid 1/2 impact wrench with friction ring anvil. There's some resistance. Apply some force and it should fit nicely.

What is the torque rating of this adapter?

I don’t you should worry about the rating, you should be more worried about what’s going on the hex end, it might not handle the torque,it might break of, or bend

It works perfectly for any “Pin detent” impact wrench.
I bought this for my Makita XWT11Z Pin detent impact wrench. It is heavy duty made and it works perfectly for any “pin detent” impact wrenches. When attaching bits, make sure buy 2 inches bits because 1 inch will not lock or it will not be secured.

I'm Happy with this :D Some people have noted that it is too tight, or simply doesn't fit on friction ring anvils. I bought it even though my Mid Torque has a friction ring...because I know my Tekton extensions are, in effect, friction ring to ball detent adaptors :D

It’s does what it says, it’s a reducer. Works great, see a lot people saying it doesn’t work well with a friction ring, but I have no issues on either my M12 Stubby or my M18 High Torque. Perfect for breaking loose rusted plugs or when you need to carry light and have to choose between impact wrench or impact driver.
