After i posted the answer,I tried it against and was able to push the adapter all the way in . It was a snug fit & no more wobbling. It did take some efforts though.
Yes it worked on my Ridgid 1/2 impact wrench with friction ring anvil. There's some resistance. Apply some force and it should fit nicely.
I don’t you should worry about the rating, you should be more worried about what’s going on the hex end, it might not handle the torque,it might break of, or bend
