How to tell when the bit is not usable anymore
When the bit snaps, its is not useable anymore. A partially twisted bit will perform similar to a somewhat harder material bit (e.g. a cheaper bit) at that point. It still absorbs some (less) torque and the bit may snap in the shock zone or outside it
What do you apply to the bit to get the wear gaurd tip?
