    Drill bit packaging?
I haven't drilled any holes yet - just got this for Christmas! The first thing that stood out to me was that the box is at least twice as big as it needs to be! I also noticed that it has no holes drilled into it so you can see what size bit that you need - my 40 year old one has this feature. I am, however, looking forward to drilling holes without having the bit slip in the chuck on my drill.

      The thinner ones suck
Thick ones work fine for me. But two thinner ones broke during the first use. Claiming warranty is also a hassle, driving 40 minutes for two drill bits is definitely too much for me.

The hammer drill bits come in various sizes and are made of sturdy material. The bottom end is easy to fit into an impact driver. They are rather long to accommodate various jobs. I tried on a brick and it went in quite deep easily. I used the hammer setting in the drill and you can feel the impact it punches. The bits seem very strong and likely to last many years for small DIY jobs. The container itself is not user friendly. I recommend making a parallel cross cut on the label rather than taking it off. The container has a bottom and top lid, but you are probably better off storing it in a different container or on a pegboard.

I ordered the MILWAUKEE SHOCKWAVE CARBIDE HAMMER DRILL BITS (7 PCS) 5/32", 3/16" (2), 1/4" (2), 5/16", 3/8". They come in a nice plastic case so that you can keep track of them. I had to drill some holes in a concrete pad, to mount some some post bases with some drop-in anchors. The bit that I used worked like a charm, (like a hot knife through butter). I was able to finish the work that I had lined out for today in no time flat. I have not used the other bits yet, however I'm sure that they work just as well. I am very glad that I ordered the MILWAUKEE SHOCKWAVE CARBIDE HAMMER DRILL BITS. MILWAUKEE rocks. You can buy them at the Home Depot today.

The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that the 5/32" but snapped in the first use. I bumped up to a 1/4" bit and was able to drive the entire bit into a cinder block without fail. It was one of the first times I used my hammer drill function on my Fuel drill, and it was impressive how quick it blasted through. Looking forward to putting these through the wringer. The packaging that can be used for storage is a nice touch

Yes, these hammer drill bits are doing the job. The bits have a very stable and secure fit, so there wasn't any wobbling or inaccurate drilling. The bits are robust and well made, and sure to last longer than ones I've used in the past. Currently, I'm securing items to a concrete slab, and these bits are working well and holding up. Good choice, for sure.

I got this set for a up comming job that fall through. But I wanted to test them out and see how good they are so I found a big rock in the back yard and put some holes in it. First I used the smallest bit and put a hole in the rock in about 20 seconds I was all the way in, not bad at all. Then I used the larger bit 3/8 and went in at the same hole all in in 10 second. This really suprised me. So I got a piace of concret that was laying in the yard and tried puting a hole in it with the 3/8 bit with out a starter hole. this took longer there was stones in the concret and it was hard. But again I was all the way in in about 30 seconds. I just wish I had this set when I installed Transision strips in the house last month. It would on cut the concret like butter I used a old set of standard masonary bits and I really had to work at it to get the hole in the floor. I did use a inpack drill for the test and the bit was hot after cutting the concret hole but I was still able to remove it with out burning my hand. This tells me it was cutting the concret with out much problems at all. Again they are new sharp and well made. I did not aply alot pressure to cut the holes I just let the drill and bit do the work, and work they did. I will be getting a lager set for biger jobs. I just love good tools. they make my jobs so much easer.

Milwaukee quality. I’m a long time fan of Milwaukee and these hammer drill bits do not disappoint. Let me tell you from experience don’t use or buy cheap concrete hammer drill bits. You are playing roulette I’ve broke more than a few or the hole is messed up from the tip of the bit being the size of the hole and the the rest of the bit is much smaller. The case included is make of a flexible plastic that is great for getting banged around in the big drill box and not breaking. The case also shows what sizes are inside so you know your grabbing the needed set. I’ve had this set for about a week and I have already knocked out a few projects and expect them to last many years. All I need now is the larger set for bigger anchors. The photo of the two bits are the same size to show quality and overall size.

I added this set to my Makita drill/driver & impact driver bag. I like having a carbide masonry bit set handy for when I need to reset a toilet flange in a house built on concrete slab or run cabling through brick veneer homes. The package back lists specific sizes and quantities. There are 2 bits provided for both the 3/16" and 1/4" sizes. The indication of bit dia "x 4" x 6"" refers the usable length (4" of bit w/ flutes) x overall length (6" including bit hex shank). I include a picture of this set alongside a Bosch blue granite bit and a low end carbide bit. I believe it is this latter bit that is being referred to on the package with the claim of "up to 5 x life in concrete". I highly recommend purchasing a set like this over bits like the one in the picture next to the kit. Those type bits wear out after just a few holes, so while they are cheaper up front you'll spend more on cost per inch of holes drilled with respective bits (based on my experience). The package back also provides guidance on drilling speeds recommended for using a hammer drill and also for use with an impact driver. I include a picture of the open package because it makes a nice case for keeping the bits organized as opposed to letting them fall randomly about in your tool box. Finally I'm posting a vid wherein I used the 5/16" bit to drill through mortar to show the ease with which the bit progressed. Admittedly mortar is relatively soft but I was holding my phone with one hand and was not behind the drill driver but rather to the side of it in order to shoot the vid (i.e. there was no significant pressure being applied to push the bit in but rather this shows the tool doing the work.
