A:  You can't. We are using it for storage for things like pencils, paper, keyboard and mouse when the desk is not in use.

    Not only did it NOT meet my expectations, but the desk doesn't function how it was advertised. I brought two of these things, and neither desk is designed with a "bonus pull out shelf". If you are reading this review, DO NOT buy this desk. You will be abundantly disappointed!!!!!!
