How do I know what size downrod to buy for my 2 fans? Both have very high ceilings. One has a tray ceiling. The other is straight with no tray ceiling. Bought fans from your store.

Hello, Congratulations on the purchase of your new Modern Forms Smart Fans. We recommend installing your ceiling fan 7' AFF (Above Finished Floor) for optimal air movement. AFF is the measurement between your floor and the bottom of the fan. If you're installing the fan in a tray ceiling, we recommend measuring from the floor to the inside of the tray, then subtract 7' for the AFF suggestion, and roughly 2' for the fan and canopy. The remaining distance would be the recommended size of your downrod.
