Asked by Randy May 21, 2020Hi Randy, thank you for your question. Instructions for installing this stairnose are linked below. There are two methods - an "overlap" method, in which the stairnose is glued onto the flooring using a polyurethane adhesive, and a "flush-mount" method, in which a shim is first stapled or nailed to the bare step, and the stairnose is then glued on the shim (resulting a nose that is flush with the flooring, rather than overlapping it). What is the best adhesive to use with this product? Would Loctite PL 300 work?

While we do not have an adhesive brand recommendation, you should use a polyurethane adhesive (the specific adhesive that you mention is a water-based latex adhesive).
