AnswerHi Paul, the 6" downrod is the minimum length downrod that we recommend for the Maverick fans. If you are concerned about the height of your ceiling, you might consider the Clarity 56" Ceiling fan, which can be mounted without coming too far off the ceiling. AnswerHello Mary, the 48" downrod is DR48BK / HD SKU # 205312337. Monte Carlo uses a 1/2" diameter so make sure you order their version. This works on a sloped ceiling up to ~15". Glass easily vibrates off and easily shatters
Would have loved to give five stars but the glass fell and shattered on both of that I installed. There is barely even a ledge in the tracks to even keep it in place. The customer service at the manufacturer was not helpful even though their printed flyer says contact them for replacement parts. In all my research on this fan I didn’t read any other review about the glass fixture being poorly designed and easy to vibrate off the fan. Hope this helps someone else! Luckily one was over our bed so it didn’t break both and I am now keeping it in place with hanging putty.

Very QUIET! Easy to install. Remote gives many options for speed and light adjustments. Fan was level right out of the box. We did not need to use the weights. Looks perfect with our coastal theme. We bought two and are considering another one for our bedroom in a different finish.
