Paint issues.
It wasn't hard to put together, but...I after 1 use the paint on the inside started to bubble and peel off. After less than a week of use, the paint on the back of the unit is also coming off. I followed the instructions for curing, but apparently that wasn't sufficient.

A pellet gill is an option I have always considered as a cooking option. The Monument grill satisfied my need and the quality of smoked flavored meats it produced amazed me. Cooking convenience with this pellet grill is also an added bonus. Assembly was easy and the instructions helped. However, that was all you have from the instructions and the cooking process has to be achieved through trial and error. Fortunately, the pellet grill is safe to learn with. I still have not connected my app to the grill and continue to get an error at every attempt, as the app just shuts down on me. Manually, I was able to create wonderful smoky tri tip and roast chicken. My cooking options are endless and I will try vegetables and cheese too.

This is the first pellet grill we have ever owned or used. It arrived on Christmas Eve and my 16 year old son helped me bring it into the house to assemble. The box that it arrived in is huge and heavy, but could easily fit in the back of my hatchback with the seats down if you wanted to pick it up from the store. Once I opened the box, I knew I would need help with assembly. I enlisted the help of my 22 year old niece. I’m a 38 year old female and I am not a builder. While the directions are pretty easy to follow, it took us 2 hours to assemble it. I think it would take most people half the time. There was a slight blemish in the inside of the grill due to shipping, but it’s not a big deal. Also, the grill plates and some parts are greasy and due to handling I left handprints all over the outside which I haven’t been able to wipe clean yet. I have purchased some pellet fuel, and set up the WiFi but have not used it yet. Since I have never used this type of grill, it’s rather intimidating to attempt to use. I would have liked a step by step tutorial or recipe to use, but that’s what YouTube is for? There is a lot of space to grill/smoke food and I can’t wait to use it! It has a lot of features that should help cooking foods to the perfect temperature.

This is a very well built pellet grill. It takes quite a bit of learning to operate it. The grill was very easy to assemble following the instructions provided. It took me about two hours by my self. It is taking me quite a bit of learning to operate the grill and pellet box. This makes a real nice addition to our deck. I have a cover coming for it so I can keep it on the deck, I have to put it in the garage after using it now. It needs a lot of cleaning after each use to prevent other problems

This grill arrived in a compact box that weighs about 125 lbs., so get some help lifting and moving it! Assembly took me about 5 hours, but I really took my time. The hardware packet had exploded inside the parts box, but everything wsa there, nothing missing. After assembly, I plugged it in and connected the WiFi. It only supports 2.4 GHz., and my phone wants to connect to 5 GHz. I overcame this by putting it on my Guest network which favors 2.4 GHz. Once connected,I put my phone back on the main access point on 5 GHz. This means the connection is through the cloud which works for me. The only downside is if you loose Internet, the app will lose connection to the grill. Not really a problem here. Next, I filled the hopper with pellets (be sure to get food grade) and I put a small pile on the igniter. As instructed, I then ran it for 30 minutes at 350° to burn of all oils and cure the paint. This went smoothly. Then I put in some marinated chicken tenders and set the grill for Smoke 2 (more smoke than Smoke 1) for 30 minutes, followed by cooking to probe temp of 180°. The chicken was delicious and made some great fajitas! Meat probe is included and will shut the grill down once programmed temperature is reached. It was raining this weekend, so being able to control and monitor everything with the app from inside was a huge plus! Temperature control seems very accurate. This grill has many functions and I am still learning to work it, but overall I am impressed! Since the chicken, I have made a pork tenderloin, and then some beef short ribs. All of it has been very tasty. A great grill!

A grill you can monitor from your phone! This grill arrived at my house in a very compact box with all parts to be assembled. Unfortunately when the parts were packed the one with all the screws/bolts was smashed and they were all in the box loose. It took one person about 2 hours to put together, the instructions could be a little more clear but easy to figure out what goes where and all parts were included. It is a great size to cook anything and everything, enough to feed a large group or just your family. The Wi-Fi option is great for techies but I prefer to monitor it the old fashioned way. I have never used a pellet grill and there is a learning curve but I must say my brisket came out juicy and much more flavorful than the propane or charcoal grills I've used in the past. It smoked a little more than I thought it would as it cooked, it seems to have sealed correctly but not all the smoke goes out the chimney. Overall I would recommend this grill if you are in the market.

Update to review from last season
I purchased this during the summer of 2020 and I wish that I'd returned it as soon as I saw that paint was peeling last season. I just tried to smoke a brisket for the first time this year and the temperature was all over the place, it kept shutting off and several internal parts have started to rust. One of the most disappointing purchases I've ever made. An absolute waste of money.

This is an amazing grill. There are only a few drawbacks. One, no manual feed function. You have to remove all of the interior parts to fill the flame box. Not a problem though. Two, you can’t put the meat on and rely on the thermometer right away. The grill will over feed the pellets and cause a flameout. Again, not a big thing. Three, the temperature tends to run higher than the actual temperature setting. This causes the cook times to be faster than optimal resulting in less than desirable results. These grills come with a learning curve. Lower your temperature by 10 degrees and let her turn out amazing results. This is an awesome grill for the price.

Product is very well built. However it has some flaws. The wifi connect to the phone doesnt work. The first burn off the unit caught fire right off the bat had to strip it down to put it out. But this thing after the first couple of hickups cooks and smokes like a champ. Set the temp and it will fluctuate within 10 degrees higher or lower the whole time. Food taste great coming off of it. Simple instructions on assembly and easy to take apart and clean. Overall great unit just a few minor issues but would recommend it

Heats up fine in the beginning but once the initial prime pellets are burnt off, it will not heat past about 340 degrees. There is also no prime feature, you have to dismantle the grill and fill the fire cup every time you use it. Customer service via email is slow and still no answers or resolves to my stated issues.
