Is is safe for walls in the home?

Answers

We always propose caution when using on painted walls. It can remove the paint beneath the Ink. If applied to a clean, cotton towel, you can lightly agitate the surface to remove the ink and not damage the painted wall.

How do you apply this product to furniture upholstery?

Asked by doctordave November 11, 2016

Answers

Yes, Motsenbocker's Lift Off Pen, Ink and Marker Remover can be used on furniture upholstery. We always recommend that you first test in an inconspicuous area for color fastness. We often recommend these tools for the project because they assist with removal (to agitate to unwanted paint): clean cotton towel and a soft brush (possibly tooth brush). Spray on Lift Off Pen, Ink and Marker Remover on to the upholstery, then use a clean, cotton towel and agitate the stain. You can also use the tooth brush to also help agitate the surface.

Can it removed hair dye black from wood cabinets that's been in the wood for days

Asked by Melclar October 18, 2016

Answers

Motsenbocker's Lift Off Pen, Ink & Marker Remover can remove the hair dye. First test on an inconspicuous area of the cabinet. It might remove or discolor the varnish. If it's a minimal amount of hair dye, you may want to apply Motsenbocker's Lift Off Pen, Ink and Marker Graffiti Remover with a cotton swab and blot out with a cotton towel. If it is a substantial amount of hair dye, you may want to apply Motsenbocker's Lift Off Pen, Ink and Marker Graffiti Remover on to a cotton towel and rub this on to the spot where the dye is situated. Then use a clean cotton towel to blot out the stain. If Lift Off does remove some of the varnish, as well as the dye, you can touch up the area with matching varnish, using a feathering affect.

Will this get ink out of carpet

Asked by Rock September 22, 2016

Answers

Motsenbocker's Lift Off Pen, Ink & Marker Remover can remove ink from carpet. Apply Lift Off directly on to the stained area. Let it set for upward of 30 seconds. Then blot (with pressure) with a clean, cloth towel to help "pull" the stain from the carpet on to the towel. (Standing on the cloth towel where the stain is located, will help pull more of the stain out of the carpet.) Depending on the amount of ink that is on the carpet, you may need to repeat this process several times.

Can I use this on a leather car seat?

Motsenbocker's Lift Off Pen, Ink and Marker Remover can be used on a leather car seat. We recommend that you spray Lift Off Pen, Ink and Marker Remover on to a clean, cloth towel. Using the saturated towel, rub the surface where the ink stain is located. A tooth brush will also help to agitate the ink for safe removal.

Kind of Amazing Stuff
Sometimes the kids spray paint the granite rocks out at the lake and it really upsets me since it is such a beautiful place. I looked for something that would take the spray paint off the rocks that was non-toxic since it is so close to the lake. This stuff you just spray or rub on wait about five minutes and then scrub it with a stiff bristle brush then rinse with water. It did not take all the paint off but it did a really nice job considering how porous the granite rock is. I also have used it on metal signs that have permanent marker and this stuff wipes it away with ease.

Motsenbocker' Lift Off Pen, Ink and Marker Remover is used for special types of graffiti removal. Motsenbocker's Lift Off Spray Paint and Graffiti Remover is also a water-based formula that was developed to be safe for the user, the environment and the surfaces that is used on. Therefore, it works differently than solvent based removers. We often recommend to have these tools along for the project because they assist with removal (to agitate to unwanted paint): clean cotton towels, scouring pads, wire brushes, and in some cases, a high pressure water system at 1,200 PSI. If you experience stubborn paint stains on porous surfaces (such as stone, concrete and brick) we recommend our gel formulation; Motsenbocker's Lift Off Paint & Varnish Remover that can be brushed on. It is great for adhering to vertical surfaces because it remains intact without running. These three products have a successful track record for being environmentally safe and effective in removing paint. liftoffinc

To remove pen, ink and markers from wallpaper, you should first test the surface in an inconspicuous area. This is to make sure the wallpaper's dyes aren't impacted. We also recommend spraying Lift Off Pen, Ink Remover on to a clean, cotton towel. You can also use a toothbrush to help agitate the stained area. The intent is to "pull out" the stain by blotting. If there is a thick concentration of pen, ink or marker, this may require several applications of Lift Off Pen, Ink & Marker Remover and the process noted above. liftoffinc

Damaged paint work on wall and because this was unnoticed it actually stripped a layer in one spot, despite being "safe on walls". I didn't even leave it for 60 seconds as suggested, I'm sure it was less!

This completely removed hardened red nail polish from dark wallpaper and a beige carpet without damage. It removes white-out correction fluid (worked for that on my keyboard, dampening a paper towel with it). Wish H.D. still carried smaller spray bottle in store, vs. ordering a gallon.

Product Ineffective in Removing Permanent Marker from Quartz Counter
I'm very disappointed with Lift Off Pen, Ink, and Graffiti Remover. Ink from a Permanent marker transferred from the lid of another item to my new quartz kitchen counter. The approximate diameter of the stain was 4 inches. Lift Off removed some of the stain, but the marker is still visible. I'm getting my house ready to sell and my newly renovated kitchen will be a good selling point. This will distract from the kitchen's appeal. I wasn't happy that Home Depot had discontinued carrying the smaller bottle of Lift Off in the stores forcing me to buy the gallon size which was shipped to the store near my house.

From what you communicated, the marker stain was ingrained in the quartz counter top. Motsenbocker' Lift Off Pen, Ink & Marker Remover is a water-based formula that was developed to be safe for the user, the environment and the surfaces that is used on and to not damage the quartz surface you referred to. Therefore, it works differently than solvent based removers. We often recommend to have these tools for the project because they assist with removal (to agitate to unwanted permanent marker stains): clean cotton towels, scouring pads, and soft bristled brushes. If you experience stubborn permanent stains on porous surfaces (such as stone and granite), the soft bristled brush is extremely important with the stain removal process. liftoffinc
Best I've Found So Far
Best product I've found so far for getting Sharpie and Ballpoint Pen writing off of bathroom walls. Takes a little time to sit and often some scrubbing and reapplication, but gets most writing off completely.

#3 Pen, Ink and Marker remover - THE BEST!
I LOVE this stuff - too bad you have decided NOT to carry it in your stores, anymore. It works great on any type of pen or marker or permanent marker on any surface I have tried it on. I have save a lot of clothes, carpet and many other uses. I NEVER want to run out!
