This 10,000 BTU Liquid Propane Black Ice House Vent Free heater is the perfect heating solution for your ice house or fishing shanty. The glass on the standard vent free unit has been replaced with a metal heat shield for added durability. This heater is conveniently equipped with a thermostat for superior control of the temperature in your space. Also, with a battery powered electronic ignition, starting it is a breeze - battery included. This unit can be permanently mounted to the wall with included mounting brackets and fasteners. A clean burning blue flame tube burner uses the natural convection of the burn to circulate warm comfortable air keeping you safe and warm as you snag the Big 1. With a factory standard Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS), rest assured this heater will provide you with years of comfortable and safe heat.

I made the mistake of reading the owner’s guide before buying. On page 6 it has can be mounted on floor using the floor stands provided with heater. Guess what, does not come with floor stands and no where on this web site or Mr Heater’s web site do they sell them. They do come with the cheaper indoor heater. So save some money and buy the cheaper one.

We looked at tons of heaters in the ventless line...
We looked at tons of heaters in the ventless line to provide auxiliary heating to our camper. We are very happy we ended up with this heater. It is designed to connect to a 20lb propane tank and the thermostat is fantastic. When the fire goes out at night it kicks in and keeps a consistent temperature. We just crack a window to make sure there is enough oxygen. Also we are at 6000 ft and have had no issues with the pilot or oxygen depletion sensor.
