Hero35 is the real "Hero" in my garage workshop
I’ve worked out of two different garages both of which never had heat. Living in the northernmost city over 1M people where winter sticks around for 8 months, it really puts a damper on shop time. Even in an insulated garage, it will hover around 0 degrees and you just can’t work in that kind of temperature. However, that has all changed this week as I was sent a Mr. Heater Hero35 cordless forced air propane heater to try out in my garage. They do say big things come in small packages and that’s very much true for this Hero heater. Essentially is the new “Hero” in my garage.

Great heat and super quiet!
I've had this thing for roughly about 10 or so years (My wife got it for me when they 1st came out). I leave it unplugged and stored away during the summer and I have yet to replace the battery, although I don't use it unplugged on battery all that much. It heats my 25x21 uninsulated garage just fine, and after about 20 minutes or so, I can work in a T-shirt in 25 degree weather outside. Once you get the hang of getting it started, it's a great heater. This thing is super quiet. If you're used to the fan noise of a regular forced air heater, be prepared to to be amazed! Love mine! Thinking of trying out the newer 60K BTU one now...

Powerful and pretty silent! Compact as well. I use it in my non-insulated garage.

I purchased a Mr Heater Hero model # F227900. It says that it runs up to 8 hrs. on internally rechargeable battery. Does that mean that it will produce heat even without propane? I am not sure to understand the role of the battery as I tried to ignite it on the battery only (without being connected to a propane tank). Txs
Good unit
Really handy for heating a large area when you are painting or dry walling. Just don’t pass gas near the intake. It smells terrible.
