Product Overview

North America's Most Popular Portable Propane Heater. This patented radiant 4,000-9,000 BTU Liquid Propane heater connects directly to a 1 lb. cylinder and is the perfect solution for heating enclosed spaces like large tents up to 200 sq. ft. The expertly engineered size to BTU ratio is augmented with a fold down handle to give this heater maximum output while retaining a minimalistic footprint. A swivel regulator gives you the ability to adapt usage from a disposable cylinder to a remote gas supply with the purchase of a hose and filter. To light the unit, simply rotate the knob to pilot and push. Then the integrated Piezo sparking mechanism will take care of the rest. With the Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS) and accidental tip-over safety shut-off you can be sure that you will enjoy years of comfortable indoor safe heat.

Does pilot light give off heat ?

Asked by Pontiuspilot October 20, 2020

Answer

Thank you for your inquiry. The pilot light will give off a minimum unmeasured amount of heat. This is needed to generate the milli volt needed to open the fuel line

Would this be safe to use in an enclosed golf cart?

I am speaking my own personal opinion. As an owner of this product which works great when you are outdoors fishing or in an open area . But you are asking about using it in a small enclosed area I do not think that is appropriate and probably dangerous. I would not recommend it . No!

What are the dimensions of the product without the propane tank attached? Wondering if i can store in a 20 mm ammo can when not in use

The propane tank only adds no ore than 1 inch on the side if that. I would take the specs from the package discription and just add 1 to the side. If that fits in the ammo can then you should be good. THe hardest part I would think is the "screen" in the front to stop hands from touching the heat source.

Check this site where one was installed in an RV. https://www.loveyourrv/ But you should check with a gas expert because I believe the problem will be the pressure difference

9,000 btu heater Works well! Have used for 18 hrs so far using 15lb standard bbq propane tank and tank is still heavy! I have fuel filter connected as well. Wish they had the 18,000 btu’s in stock. My 10x14 Shed has no insulation yet and perfect to have a cigar comfortably. Highly recommend!

This is a really good heater. I bought it to warm up my 200 ft² non insulated shop. I have an electric heater to keep it from freezing at night so it starts out at around 40゚when I turn on this heater. In 20 to 30 minutes I am turning it to low because my shop is so warm. I hooked up a large tank because after two days the small tank ran out. I wholeheartedly recommend this heater.

AWESOME HEAT! This unit has been working fantastic since I've gotten it. Its been used multiple times with no problems at all. I used it for Halloween to keep me warm during the candy rush at my house. It was a perfect fit behind me and my chair. Another application I've been using it for is keeping my garage toasty. I have a one car garage and I frequently do small DIY projects in there. Since the temperatures have gotten cooler, this heater helps me tolerate it. Turning on the unit is very easy. It really takes no effort at all. Its very portable and sturdy. No need to worry it tipping as long as the surface is level. I've moved it while its on and its very tolerant and I have not burned myself. I've only needed to use it on low as well as that gives off plenty of heat. Overall, this is a good purchase. Its Safe, Its warm, It works and its affordable! Well worth it!

Bought it today for my 2 car garage, it's about 25x30. The garage is insulated but have garage door leaks, I need to replace the doors. Anyway, I hooked Mr. Heater to my 5 lb grill propane tank which was full and fired it up, I needed to buy the adapter hose to connect to the large tank for $16. The temperature in the garage according to the thermometer on the wall was 40 degrees and the outside temp was 18. The garage heated up to a nice 60 degrees within 2.5 hours which is not bad considering the size and the over 12 foot ceiling. I was able to work on my car comfortably. After 6 hours of running the tank gauge was still showing full and the garage was about 65 degrees, the outside temperature rose to only 30 degrees during the day. I love it.

It works great in my van, but I live in a high-altitude location (7000 ft+ above sea level) which makes it difficult to start sometimes. When it DOES start up it heats up the space in no time and I can leave it on long enough to heat up my van without too much of a risk of a high accumulation of carbon monoxide. I vent it out after every run, just to be safe, but it's not that big of an issue. It works as it should, it's just the altitude that's the problem, not the heater itself.
