What does the rating of K,L,M mean on copper pipe? What is best for cold water side versus hot water?

AnswerHi Savo, the ratings K, L and M refer to the wall thickness of copper tubing. Type K is the thickest, with L not as thick and M being the least thick. I am using this pipe as a design element on a bed I am making, it polishes up nicely and very strong. So if you are looking to add a bit of copper flare to your project, this is a nice way to go. I got the 60 inch bar, but that was about an inch and a half too long, was easy to cut and ended up with a clean cut using my angle grinder with a metal cutting blade.
