A panel has MP-T breakers. Will the MP-GT2 breakers fit on the same busbar?

A panel has MP-T breakers. Will the MP-GT2 breakers fit on the same busbar?
Asked by: wpa
WPA We would need to know which panel you are referring to. If you can provide a Siemens/Murray catalog number or Home Depot SKU, we could then tell you which breakers are approved for use in said panel Thanks

How can you tell the difference between the old and new Models of the MP260 GFCI 2-Pole 240V Breaker by looking at them. The new Murray 60 Amp Double-Pole Type MP-GT GFCI Circuit Breaker complies with the 2015 UL 943 Update GFCI Self Test Feature, but the old Model does not. We need to distinguish between various MP260 GFCI breakers on hand, and when purchasing new ones (some sellers may be selling "new" old stock of the old Model). The UPC code seems to be the same on both models (UPC 04089252999). Are there "Issue" numbers or Part numbers on each piece, or physical differences, that will identify which model it is? Is there some other way to identify which Model each unit is? Thanks.
Asked by: DepotMan
Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We reached out to MFG for more information and below is their response. " Hi DepotMan, The poar tnumber will be listed on the sticker on the side of the breaker. The new Gen 2 model number will be MP260GFA, the indicator that you have the newer model would be the "A" in the part number. The UPC's are also different between the two. You can find the new version online here http://www.homedepot.com/p/Murray-60Amp-Double-Pole-Type-MP-GT2-GFCI-Circuit-Breaker-US2-MP260GFAP/206883917?keyword=MP260GFAP "

What is the difference between MP-GT and MP-GT2 breakers ?

Asked by: Moises
Hi Moises, The new type MP-GT2 GFCI Circuit breakers include the Self Test and Lockout feature which is required by UL and enables the GFCI to automatically and continuously test itself to ensure that it is working properly. If it is detected that the device has been compromised, the device trips itself and locks out the homeowner from resetting the device, reducing the possibility of the homeowner incorrectly assuming that the device was tripped to prevent a ground fault.

Will this Murray breaker fit in a standard GE 200 amp panel?

Have an existing GE standard 60 amp double pole breaker in the panel for a device that should have a 60 amp GFCI breaker...this Murray seems to be the only 60 amp GFCI double pole breaker you have...before I buy, I want to be sure it will actually work in a GE panel...thanks!
Asked by: Engineerich
Murray Circuit Breakers are only UL Listed and approved to be used in Murray panels. It is not recommended that you mix and match circuit breakers.
