Product Details

Help your drainage system do its job without leaves and debris bogging it down. The 6 in. round drain grate blocks them from entering and potentially clogging the pipeline, as it drains light flows of stormwater from small lawns, landscaped areas, patios, and walkways. The 6 in. Round Drain Grate, also known as a drain cover, has an open surface area of 9.1 sq. in. and a flow rate of 28 GPM. Connects to the Spee-D Catch Basin Drain, 6 in. sewer and drain pipe & fittings and 6 in. single-wall corrugated pipe for a soil-tight fit. The pipe grate is ADA Compliant and heel-proof. Built to stand up to the elements, it's made of polyethylene, a type of plastic, using a combination of virgin and recycled content treated with UV inhibitors to prevent fading and cracking from the sun. As part of a complete drainage system, the grate blocks leaves and debris as water enters drain pipes. The pipes carry the water to a discharge point downstream such as a pop-up emitter, or to percolate into the ground with a dry well or infiltration trench.       A:  The outside diameter of this grate is 6.75". if the opening is less than 6" this grate will slide in, but will stick up above the floor. Unfortunately we do not have a grate that is slightly smaller than 6" diameter.

        A:  The spec states up to 60psi, so it should support a 250lb individual, as long as the weight is spread across the entire surface.

          A:  i am 200 lbs, and I can stand on it, walk over it with my lawn mower, with no problem. It is also ADA compliant and heel proof.

          A:  This grate is designed for pedestrian use only. People, bicycles, wheelchairs, lawn mowers, etc. can pass over without worry.

            A:  Yes. But it is not a snug fit. It works better on the firm white drain pipes found in the garden center.

              A:  This grate can sit inside of 6" corrugated pipe, but it isn't the best or tightest fit. This grate fits best in 6" sewer and drain PVC pipe fittings. The top of the Spee-D Basin is the same size as a 6" sewer and drain fitting.

                A very good quality Grate for 4" catch basin.
                This is a good size and quality grate that needs to be installed in a 4" Catch basin which is connected to 4" PVC drain pipes. Very easy to install: just snap on.
