The mounting flanges are too thick so the faceplate can't sit tight against the wall. This allows a lot of light to leak out around it making a "halo". Not very attractive. Also, there was a glass lense in the faceplate that had to be removed to get it on .

Nicor LED step light is a good alternative to adding night lights on a 120 volt system. At a price a little over $35.00 then will fit in most boxes and are easy to wire in. There were two white covers included in the box with two insulated white painted louvered covers. Both with protective plastic bags so they were not scratched. One cover is horizontal orientation the other vertical louvers for the light to shine through. The covers have clear type plastic window and the unit also is sealed for the LEDs to shine trough. Very good for exterior use.
The lights are 1 7/8 inch deep so check you box depth and amount of wires in the box before installing.
I have attached photos of the unit approximately 20 inches above the ground and the light has about a three foot spread, at this height. The light is around the 2800 K range so it is some what similar to a incandescent light appearance instead of the blue white typical LED color range.
Nicor also offers other cover at additional cost through Home Depot.com.

This is a sturdy, well made light that is suitable for indoor or outdoor use. I used it in my Mud Room to provide around the clock lighting for a windowless area. It allows my to come and go without turning on the overhead light when just passing through. It is 2700 K, warm white which is sort of yellow. I wish it was closer to 5000K so it was a whiter light. It comes with louvers for horizontal or vertical mounting. The light is fairly deep so you will need a deep box and must be able to push other wiring out of the way. The louvers are well made and look like they will stand up to outdoor use very well.

Stair Lights
Going to give this a 4 star review. Lights are decent and perform as expected. However, had to modify the inside of the new construction boxes for them to fit and also the face plates do not fit tight. The screws that come with the mount have heads that are to round and tall. Will have to change them to flat head so the face plates will install flush with the surface and not allow light to escape around the edges.

The cover screws are so small its stupid. VERY DISAPPOINTED.Will not use again.

Apologies for the confusion and that the product did not fit into your gang box. The product linked to this response (STP-10-120-WH) does not have a real photo cell. However, our STP-10-120-WH-PC does. The EDC fits into most non-metallic single gang wiring boxes. It does not fit into metal or allied brand fiberglass single gang boxes.
