Base unit broke
I bought this a year ago and the base unit broke. Don't waste your money, it will just had up to a landfill.

design Problem
This unit tends to be break the bottom cover stands for the screws, not sure it is because the motor torque or because the way the blender motor stick to the surface, looks like it is hard to remove and need to apply force to the opitcher it stress the plastic stands for the screws and it breaks those

Poor Quality
I bought this about 1 month ago. Today I realize that it is shaking unusual and I found that the base part is broken. This is completely disappointing!

Best Power Blender and Food Processor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the ninja blender and Processor to replace several of my machines. It is very powerful with 1400 watts perfect for my smoothies. It does such a good job of making smoothies it is only machine I use now. I wanted a food processor that made pie dough and the ninja makes it so much easier to make. I find so many uses like chopping vegetables that come out size I want. It is such a great machine that my family is happy to use since it is easy. It looks really good on my couter.

It’s a Beast!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! There’s just so much I can say about the amazing Ninja Power Food Blender and Processor! Where do I start?! First off, it’s unbelievably powerful! I refer to it as “the beast” because it does so much! The blades are very sharp! I think it works best for smoothies, but I’m a smoothy freak so I’m a bit biased! I love the suction cups located on the bottom of the Ninja. It suctions to the counter to keep from moving as it’s crushing everything I put in it. That’s a great feature! It does take some practice learning all its functions. It appears a bit intimidating and I did have to read the directions first. (There’s also videos available on YouTube that is helpful.) Once you start using it you get the hang of it. The pitcher is huge! Holds a lot! The handle is comfortable and it just feels of tremendous quality. It’s dishwasher safe! The blades can be removed fairly easily, which I like. My favorite part is the ice crushing feature. I like to be able to control how blended I want whatever I’m making. It doesn’t leak. It is a bit noisy but I would think it would have to be to crush everything I throw in it! It does so much! It’s 3 in 1 and that’s a huge pro! It’s a food processor and a blender. I use it to shred chicken, make pancakes, blend cake mixes, chop vegetables, make salsa, and I even made cookie dough in it!! If you’re looking for a blender, this is the one to go with! I can’t say enough good about it! Well worth the buy!

Awesome power

Powerful!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was not expecting this blender to be so powerful! It was so loud, and, while blending, produced wind that caused the instructional booklet's pages to move back and forth. My dog wouldn't stop barking at it. The disruptive noise level and sheer strength is why I'm only giving the blender four stars; otherwise, it's a nice blender. The design is modern and I love that it has built-in options for blending different types of food and drink, like dough, spreads, and smoothies. I used it to make fruit smoothies, which all came out a bit thick despite having it set to the smoothie setting. I'll try the manual setting next time.

DO NOT BUY, defective product
Shark Ninja knows that they are selling you a defective product. I should’ve looked more deeply into the reviews - hopefully you won’t get caught off guard like I did. Review after review after review shows that the base for this product is defective and WILL break. Mine broke after one use. I went to move it off the shelf and the base split in half. They want me to pay for a replacement base – even though Shark Ninja admitted to me that “this is a common problem with these bases”. Hopefully you won’t get duped like I did. Garbage. Don’t waste your money. Never buy another Ninja product again.

Base broke within months
I bought this because it would fit on the counter, and I didn't need all the bells and whistles of a fancierblender/food processor. I've not used the dough blade. I tried to make pico and the chop function is really not useful and it's a very delicate balance before you have a puree on your hands. The plastic retains odor, so chopping onions for salsa and making a smoothie is not compatible. Like someone else said, this is not dishwasher compatible, as water gets into the handle and you cannot dry it and it will certainly grow mold. Finally, please, please, PLEASE listen to other reviewers. The suction on the bottom of the food processer holds this base so well that it's difficult to move. You have to "unsuction" the bottom. Even with careful attempts, by base snapped off and I now have to set it back onto the broken base each time I use it. There's a random washer that fell out (similar to another review with a picture). I've had it a handful of months. I'm going to attempt to call and see if this is covered under warranty. While it's a very simple product, it's not built well.

You need to change the design!!
The suction cup are too strong ! It's so hard to move the blender and to put it away. The base came off from the motor and product was broken. They did send me a replacement but i almost damaged it again for the same reason and i was being so careful ! I had to put tape on the bottom to prevent damage again ... but the machine is moving and not secured..
