HC Series HC60 1000 Lumens LED Rechargeable Headlamp

I have only had this a few weeks, but I use it almost daily for hikes with my dog before sunrise. I've had a lot of headlamps in the past, but this is my first from Nitecore. First, I would describe the light as a mixed-beam with a wide/flood pattern and a more focused center area. I find it good for general hiking. The 5 different light settings are convenient, giving you everything from very bright to a very dim light. It feels kinda heavy in the hand, but given the strap design, its comfortable on the head and I completely forget its there. The light is held on to the plastic piece with 2 hard rubber rings. Its a very snug fit that allows you to adjust the angel exactly as you want, but the light will not move at all on its own no matter how much you are moving about. The elastic strap seems tougher than most I've used so I expect that it will last long and not lose its elasticity as I've noticed with other lights. The plastic buckles are also beefier than I've seen on other lights. I really appreciate that as I had to retire an old headlamp because of snapped buckle. Its completely waterproof and comes with replacement seals. I like that the battery is rechargeable and has a longer life than AA or AAA batteries. Two minor dislikes are the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. 1. The button is very difficult to use if you have gloves on. 2. When the battery gets low, the light will get dimmer. I prefer when headlamps have an indicator that lets you see roughly how much charge is left.

Bright an lightweight but I haven't tried to see if it could hold a good charge for a hour.

It is a fabulous light although at the brightness I use it on the charge does not last long enough.

Very bright light. I haven’t used it enough to see how long the battery life is.

Don’t really like the head strap. Other than that it seems good.

Easy to put together and works great at night and dark rooms .

This device gets to hot.

Pretty good for the money. The light is super bright. It’s good that you can adjust the light output because the light can be be a bit overly bright. But that’s it. It’s is an excellent product
