      Failed quality control
This one was purchased for the sealing of my HVAC system. The adhesion strength is adequate. However, I encountered several long areas that totally lacked adhesive on the foil side. I believe I purchased the faulty item. Can I get a refund in this case?

I used this tape to seal beetween our gutter and flashing that created a cap that would allow water into our roofline when the gutters would get overloaded. Still need to drop a new downspout in the gutter but this sealed the water out of the house!

Premium foil tape with great results
Nashua foil tapes have always been my 'go-to' tapes for HVAC related work or other sheet metal related sealing and repair tasks. It is described as a 'premium foil' tape because it is superior to all other foil tape product I've ever used. The 2.5" width is great for sealing a seam and gives you plenty of left-over to create a very sturdy air-tight seal on the metal or flexible ducting HVAC parts. 60 yards goes a long way and ensures that you are not running through multiple smaller rolls which create more waste and increase costs. The tape cuts very easily with scissors or a utility knife and the paper backing is always easy to remove when ready to apply. Years after install, even in heavy condensation conditions - I find that the tape I have installed is still holding long and strong. For your safety and comfort, it is a Low VOC product and Made in the USA of US and global components. It handles a huge variety of temperatures but if you need a more extreme tape, Nashua has one and Home Depot sells it - described as Extreme Weather. The versatility of this tape is great and it is well worth the premium you pay for it.

            Worst tape ever
Tape is NOT well made. Foil comes off in random patterns leaving bare adhesive and clear tape. Was able to wrap it around enough to make the two joints i had to seal stick but its ugly. Tape is essentially unusable

The tape around my duct work on the on the AC unit was almost complete loose. This Premium Foil Tape was very effective in sealing the old tape to the duct. I applied it about a month ago and so far it is holding well. Caution: when you peel the back off the adhesive, your tape will quickly coil into a loop and stick together. Be sure to hold both ends when removing the backing. Since I was working alone, I would remove a few inches of the tape, stick the exposed end to a stud or duct, and then finish removing the backing.

Outstanding Tape For Sealing A/C Handler-Furnace
As a DIY every ten to twelve weeks I 'service' my A/C Air Handler-Furnace. I first shut off the electrical and remove the air handler panel cover. I then inspect the evaporator “A” coils for debris accumulation and drop anti-algae tablets in the condensation pan to keep the condensate line free of blockages and potential overflow, water damage. This whole process only takes approximately ten minutes. After putting the air handler panel cover back on I tape the entire seams, between the cover and handler body with Nashua 324A Premium Aluminum Foil Tape. It not only provides an airtight seal to keep out leaking 'by-pass air' drawn into the handler, but is also provides a vapor barrier to keep moisture out. Sealing my air handler with Nashua 324A has saved me money over the long run through increased efficiency from not having to cool and dehumidify leaking air drawn into the handler. This has also kept the air handler fan and evaporator cooling coil cleaner too. Most of my friends are shocked when they see how 'leaky' their air handler-furnace is especially if they have to remove the cover frequently to change their air filters. The screws holding the cover on get worn and don't seal the unit. Nashua 324A Aluminum Foil Tape is what I recommend to them to properly seal their units. At first they balk at the cost of the tape over cheap duct tape, but there is no comparison. Cheap duct tape just does not hold up to after being exposed to moisture and temperature fluctuations, which is why I recommend this Nashua Foil Tape. Besides, it is UL listed for the very purpose of sealing HVAC equipment.
