7 ft. PowerConnect Kingswood Fir Slim Artificial Christmas Tree with Dual Color LED Lights

Have you ever tried to find a slender pre-lit artificial Christmas tree that "checks all the boxes?" This is the tree. With limited in-person availability at local Home Depot stores, I ordered this tree on HD's website for (free) delivery to my house. If you're curious about those "boxes" mentioned above... The very first item was LED lights. In this modern era, LED lights are a no-brainer replacement for sadly obsolete Edison filament light bulbs. Artificial tree makers continue to use filament bulbs to save cost, and I absolutely guarantee you will regret your purchase within three years of your purchase. LED bulbs use negligible power, and are far more durable than delicate filament bulbs. If you plan to have your tree's lights function for more than three years, you should rule out filament bulbs. OK, enough said about filament bulbs. What about color? This tree offers dual-element LED lamps. The controller simply inverts the DC polarity to the lamps, and they will light up with either soft-white or multi-color lighting. The controller also performs a sort-of simplistic attempt at animation by switching from soft-white to multi-color, or dissolving or fading to both in succession. I wasn't that impressed by any of the selections, so I stuck with steady multi-color. You simply sequentially press the controller's button (at the base of the tree) to select your preference. The lights are a bit unevenly dispersed through the interior of the tree and the branch tips. But the final appearance is quite gorgeous once you've added ornaments. There's also a bonus feature worth mentioning: The DC voltage to the lights is carried within the tree's trunk, so after you assemble both branch segments (there are only two with this tree) the power is delivered from the lower segment to the upper segment automatically. It's a nice feature, but honestly, the tree's assembly takes only a minute or so. The power delivery up the trunk is nice, but not as big a time saver as with our other, older tree, a nine footer with 5 branch segments. That tree can be assembled with no need for stepstools or ladders and the fact that DC power is conducted all the way up via the trunk is a huge plus. Now... about "fluffing" branches. It's quite a chore, but absolutely worth the effort when completed. Artificial trees are shipped with the branch tips pressed snugly around the their cores. You must gently unwrap the "foliage" and spread each tip out by hand. My wife and I spent hours "fluffing" the foliage to give the tree a convincing appearance. Patience is a virtue, so hang in there. You'll be delighted how adding ornaments to any open voids between the branches makes all the difference. That is mostly true of all artificial trees, so don't let first impressions about "sparseness" discourage you. My wife and I are delighted with this tree's finished appearance in our front foyer. We highly recommend it.

This was perfect for the space I have to put it in. I didn’t want to downsize but I decided to this year . It was easy to put together and the lights are bright and the different lights from white to bright colors, to pastel, blinking, blink from while to color , just love it . Don’t believe the negative reviews . I definitely recommend

Overall a decent tree. Unfortunately there's a gap where there are lights. Required alot of fluffing to make it look right. No remote comes with this. Colored and white light settings plus several other modes combining both.

good tree, good size, lighting sucks. there are huge gaps with no lights. it's super weird! I really dont like that and it makes the tree look super strange and un even. extremely disappointed actually.

I took the tree out of the box upon being delivered and a branch tip fell off. I didn't feel this was a big deal but wanted to mention it. Of greater disappointment was that the lights towards the top of the tree are sparse, specifically in one area of the tree (as show in the photo). If this area was not missing lights I would have given the tree a higher rating. Other than this, it is a beautiful tree.

Nice product. I always had trees with a large circumference, not any more with condo living. The tree is 71/2 ft tall, has over 1000 tips to spread for fullness and programmable light arrangements for your preference.

National Tree Company 7 ft. PowerConnect Kingswood Fir Pencil Tree with Dual Color LED Lights is a beautiful tree. I really love it, the lights are bright and very colorful. I love the fact that you get to choose different light schemes. The Tree is very full, and was put together in five minutes very easy. I am glad I purchased this tree. I had been looking for months and finally found the perfect tree for me. I also purchased the spinning tree stand from Home Depot. The spinning stand makes the tree lovely.

The tree looked ridiculous, like something Charlie Brown would have. Even with some time spent fluffing the branches it looked nowhere near the photos or even our previous artificial tree of similar dimensions. What's worse is the lights weren't really integrated into the branches, just kind of haphazardly slung along them. I could see it becoming a tangled mess after a couple of seasons. I returned it shortly after setting it up.

LED lights are flickering on bottom of tree after a couple weeks use. Going to have to ship it back to manufacturer to replace it.
