Depends on the substrate, they are fairly light so should not compromise the structural weight rating of the roof.

First make sure your frame work is solid, not rotting. Second make sure any top boards that are loose, re-screw. Start from the front of your deck and work back, this keeps cut pieces less visible.

Tiles arrived as scheduled. We had 70 boxes so they came on pallets. Pallets were well strapped and covered. Tiles look as advertised. I like the fact that they can be laid over my existing deck. Plan to lay screening under the tiles so you will not see the bright color between the tile squares, plus keep small critters from coming up through. Have not had a chance to lay any tiles yet, due to constant rain. Have placed just a few to see how they will look and they meet our expectations. Looking forward to not having to stain the deck every few years.

Right now, the world is in mayhem with this COID-19 virus. My Contractor can’t complete this job on our deck. I will be ordering 19 more boxes of the tiles. They are beautiful and precisely what we were looking for. Our deck needs several coats of a water repellant paint sealer.
