Very sturdy, heavy-duty mat. Was looking for a mat without a rubber backing because it was going outside on a wood deck where it would get wet anytime it rains. It has been wet many times already and seems to dry out quickly and looks exactly as when it was new. It is thick, as one other reviewer mentioned, but we have not found it to be a problem. Is attractive too.

Overall mats are nice looking.
Shedding is normal for this type mat material.
If I had reaslized the thickness I probably would not have ordered them.
My wife tripped once and my sister twice.

Really thick mat, lays well!
This is a really thick, heavy duty mat! It is standard doorway width and fits nicely. It does get caught be the door sweep on the bottom of my storm door, but what a little adjustment to the sweep it will clear. The mat appears to be made of thick coco fiber or similar material. It is pretty heavy so I should not have a problem with it blowing off of the porch like the old mat. Haven't had a rain or wind storm to test, but it looks good now!
