Had high hopes for this proposed solution but the difficulty with application caused me to send the product back. The globe of product could not be broken down enough to go through the sprayer. Looking forward to a credit and I’ll try another approach.

Easy to apply, not sure how effective it is yet as I was just able to apply it a week ago. Will be applying a second application in about another week to be sure grubs are gone. So far it has appeared to do as claimed.

I have given this product three weeks to check its efficiency, which apparently is too much time. A way to tell if the grubs are infected are they should be a red color, if they are white they are still healthy. As I have been gardening, I have been pulling up a fair amount of little white grubs. I distributed this throughout the whole yard. What strikes me the most is they do not come refrigerated. I am fairly certain I received a bunch of dead nematodes, but I gave it a try anyways. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product - very effective - safe for animals and earth worms I have used different kinds of beneficial nematodes from several different producers. But, I have found this product, NemaGlobe Grub Busters, to be the best. I was so happy to be able to get this hard to find product through Home Depot. I called the company that produces this product, and learned that Home Depot faxes their orders to the producer's warehouse, which keeps the "in stock" Grub Busters refrigerated. To fill orders, this warehouse packs them with insulation & a "cool pack" and ships the Grub Busters directly to you. So, the Grub Busters should be alive when you get them. A very good system. Apparently, the cold keeps them "asleep" so they don't need food. My "cool pack" had warmed-up when I got them. I called the producer and she told me to open the pouch and as long as it didn't smell "fishy" inside the pouch, the nematodes should be okay -- the cool pack had kept them cool for most of the trip. Mine didn't smell bad so I put the globe back together, put it into a ziplock plastic storage bag and into my refrigerator until I was ready to apply the Grub Busters to my lawn, a couple weeks later. I sprayed it last Saturday evening, 4/27/13, after 6pm. Watered the lawn first, picked up any leaf clutter on the lawn, carried out a pail of warm water, filled my NemaGlobe Sprayer 2/3 with warm/tepid water, put on rubber gloves, added the nematodes from the pouch, stirred very well, finished filling the NemaGlobe sprayer with warm water, screwed on the lid and shook well. I spot treated the bad spots on my back lawn first and then did the whole lawn, concentrating on the bad spots and continually shaking the mixture in the sprayer as I went. I then watered the lawn again, as directed, to help the nematodes into the soil. I saw noticable improvement in a couple days and the improvement continues, i.e., the white grass areas have gotten narrower and smaller and some new grass has started to grow in the white grass patches. I've used this product before and it doesn't hurt the birds, bunnies, or earth worms. Unfortunately, my backyard security lights continually attract moths and May/June beetles, etc. that lay eggs in the lawn and result in grubs. But, using the Grub Busters helps to keep my lawn beautifully green, without fertilizer. I had gotten two Grub Busters from Home Depot. I planned to use 1 in the back yard and 1 in the front yard. But, I had enough to spray both lawns. We had a mild winter in norhern IL this year and I had used Grub Busters on the front last fall, but not on the back. The front really looks good. So, now I plan to use the second Grub Busters on the back lawn, again, in a week to make sure I get every spot on my back lawn and I keep forgetting to spray the garden dirt and under the bushes, too. I highly recommend this product to kill grubs, without using poison. Apparently, the reason for doing this late in the day is that sunlight causes the nematodes to become sterile. Apparently, a harsh winter will kill them or if the soil becomes too hot and dry, they will die.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nematodes and Nature Nematodes and ladybugs are your best friend as a gardener and especially nematodes because they take out every nasty little pest you don't want below the soil. It's like God programed them both just for us; take advantage people, take advantage. All these chemicals and pesticides that some are putting down cause more damage than you know. This is 'all' natural god made pest control. And make sure you get nematodes with all three types in them it does matter (Hb+Sc+Sf) the difference in them is some stay put and some actively seek out, you want all of them especially when you have mixed garden. By the way I am a farmer I know first hand and I want your plants to be happy and healthy. Nematodes are the 'only' way to go.

Nema-globe Grub Busters Natural Grub Eliminator was very easy to apply with the Nematode (hose) Sprayer. Fortuitously, there were three consecutive days of rain in late April in my Mid-Atlantic state starting the day I applied the nematodes. This was an ideal condition for the nematodes to soak into the soil. At this time (early May) the lawn looks good, and I'm looking forward to minimal grub impact during the warm summer months.
