Product Overview

All the issues associated with the Internet being down can be solved by power cycling the modem and router. But that can be hard to do. NetReset resolves network issues by offering sequential power cycling. This means that when the modem and router are plugged into the device, they are powered up at different times. The modem is powered up first and then a minute later, the router is powered up. This rebooting will occur at initial setup, every 24 hours and after a power failure. Do you have a modem/router combo? No problem. NetReset will also power cycle the modem/router combo.
  • Eliminates media stream buffering
  • Hands-free internet reset
  • Less internet downtime
  • Reset occurs at programmed time

Can the "every 24 hours" reset feature be suppressed?

Asked by: Mick
If you leave the device in PROG setting mode, it doesn't seem to reset. But then why would you want the device? That is its only function.

Customer Reviews

Automated Power Cycler for Modems and Routers is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 36.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from solves our problem We have been struggling with dropped Internet signal at our house for several years. We are having to disconnect our modem and router combination once or twice every week. This product has been a lifesaver for our network issues. The cycler needed to charge for about one hour out of the box, After charging, the set- up took less than 5 minutes. We were able to plug in our modem and router and the unit took over from them. We have it set to update our connection in the middle of every night. In the past, we wake up to no Internet connection or very low speed. This product has taken away all of our issues. This is one product that we should have purchased years ago. No more hassles with our Internet provider. We took care of the issue in our own home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clever and simple I have always had network issues between my modem and ISP. I live in an area with old above ground infrastructure and established trees. I normally have to reset my network equipment several times a week. This product seems like it will greatly reduce that. The packaging is simple like that of generic or re-manufactured electronics. After the initial charge set up was easy. There are no options to control the delay between restarts. Your only control is the choice of the time to start the reset. The unit fit on the bulky transformer slot on my UPS and covered the neighboring slot. A small sacrifice if by downtime is reduced. If you don't have much clearance around your available outlet you may have to put this on a power strip or small extension cord. It is a bit bulky and because of the grounded three prong plug can only be oriented in the direction of your outlet. I have had it up and running for a week now, this was a holiday week as well so I would assume even heavier ISP Network traffic then normal and I have yet to reset my modem and router manually.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super easy installation and helps so much with my internet speed! I live in a house with my spouse and 3 children -- needless to say we each have at least one to two devices connected to our wifi. Before I bought this product, I had to crawl under the desk and fight with all the wires behind the computer to find where I have the router connected in order to reset it anytime our Internet got too slow. Since purchasing NetReset, I haven't had to fight with the wires under the desk at all! The automatic router power cycle that I set up for every night at 2am has been working great! All the kids are happy now and they haven't complained about their phones, tablets, devices, etc. having slow internet connectivity since installation of NetReset!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solved my internet problem WE have a vacation home in VA and we control our heat and AC with the use of our router. The power down there go out a lot due to high wind and storms. When that happened we would lose our internet and the thermostat would not longer work until we went back to the home and unplugged the router and plugged it back in. This product solved that problem and we have owned this for over a year

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Internet/WiFi reset We bought this to help with our connection to our internet wifi connection in our second home that kept losing connection and therefore we could not adjust our thermostat from afar when we were not there. We bought this item and have not had a problem since! It was well worth it for the price and have continued connection! - The Enders Family from CCV

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what I need My home wifi has never been better. I tried using a "cheap" timer and I got exactly what I paid for! This is a quality product and it has fixed my issues

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to install and works as advertised. My rating at 4 stars versus 5 stars has to do with the products packaging and included instructions. As received, the packaging is a little on the light side and reminiscent of those cheap computer accessory knock offs you get at a computer store. Out of the package though, the power cycler seems like a decent quality unit. Instructions are very vague and written in poor English. Setup though is intuitive and works relatively easy. The week mine has been in use has worked as advertised and power cycles the modem and router at the predetermined time. Just know that this unit does not compensate for any daylight savings time and will have to be reset for that if critical.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It does what it says, but your mileage may vary The product delivers on exactly what it promotes. At the designated time, it cuts off the power and then brings it back on sequentially. The problem is that you have to make sure your router & modem can handle this kind of outage. My modem is a standard Motorola Surfboard and my router is a TP-Link Archer C9. It takes my modem too long to establish a connection with my internet provider so by the time my router comes on, it cannot find a connection. This means my router assumes that there is no internet connection & it stops looking for one. It would be nice if you could adjust the timing and have the power go out for 5 minutes, then have jack 1 (modem) come on and then have jack 2 come on 5 minutes later instead of one minute later. It would mean a total of 10 minutes downtime, but if you are putting this on your devices, and setting it for the middle of the night, 24/7 uptime is not your biggest concern.
