This is what I sent to the manufacturer and never heard back. "Purchased your Savannah Composite Trellis thru Home Depot and assembled it today.I feel you have a major problem with your assembly instructions. I have now read them 5 times. Nowhere do I see that you note there is a difference in the side posts as to which is top and bottom and the importance of knowing that when assembling the unit. I had one side assembled before I realized I had the bottom rail in the top end of the side post. Fortunately, I was able to get the top rail unlocked and out of the post and began assembly again. If it wouldn't have dawned on me at that moment I would have continued assembling and potentially locked everything in. That brings me to the 2nd issue. If there is a way to release the tabs after they are locked in place that instruction should be provided. Finally, the green stickers for the top of the arch were found in the box as they must have come off at some point. I was able to sort out which was top. I'd highly recommend you use a permanent marker to note "t" on the inside of the arch channel instead of using stickers that apparently don't keep their adhesion. It would also be a good idea that while you have the marker out you note "t" in the inside channel on the top of both side posts." Overall quality seems fine and it looks good. If instructions were clearer I would rate it higher.

Made very cheap and it cracks as you are putting it together. It will not last long at all.

This is a good product, with the exception of the 2 shorter outside spindles that connect to the top arch. No matter how I tried to adjust the pieces they were 2 short to fit snugly at each end. If I put them into the upper hole in the arch, then they pulled out of the lower opening in the crosspiece at the lower end. I even called customer service whose only help was to tell me that it should fit. I ended up putting a screw into the crosspiece and through the lower end of the spindle. That held everything together. It wasn't a big deal, but that is definitely where they need to redesign this product. Customer service seemed a bit clueless about it, as well.

For someone who doesn't put things together easily, the assembly of two of these took about 2 hours. I hope they last!
