Questions & Answers

can this tile be used to cover a wooden deck?

can this tile be used to cover a wooden deck?
Asked by: 2Qute
Yes but the product you are commenting on is just the trim. If you lay this on top of a wooden deck you must make sure that the structure and the deck boards on top are structurally sound before you place this on top.

How do I install this on a raised deck to make sure the tiles don't shift off the raised deck? In other words, is there an extra piece offered to lock

Asked by: KG
This can not be installed on a frame joisted system. It has to be on a solid surface, I will assume that this raised deck is already decked out. You are just using this material to cover it. Make sure first that your structure and boards are sound. There is no locking piece to the substructure. Our suggestion is to use liquid nail on the outside pieces of all your deck tiles to lock all of them into place. Although once attached together they behave as one unit. Each piece is 2.2 lbs each they becomes quite heavy once attached together.
