Q:After building the column how would you put the cap over if there is a 6x6 post in the middle?

Answer This Question

A:  The top cap will need to be cut in half and the 6x6 opening jigged out then the two halves will fit back together around the post. There is a video showing this installation on the manufacturers website.

Q:If used to cap a column wrap on a enclosed porch, one side only. Could this be cut to match the depth of the faux stone panel and glued on?

        Answer This Question

A:  Yes, we cut ours to fit around posts for our patio cover. Just cut them diagonally, slowly from corner to corner. Then measure and cut out what you need removed. Then fit it around and glue it back together. Next, we put silicon to fill in the gaps and when it was dry we used the NextStone touch up paint to match the columns.

A:  Yes most certainly. The Polyurethane is very easy to cut with any wood working tool.
