Great modern look that transforms your living room lighting ambiance from a glare if can lights to halogen spotlight. A bit difficult to change bulbs , so suggest to go with LED type (2700K for warmest feel), this way, light bulb change hassle is years away.

Good Concept, Poor Fit
Recently I bought a dozen of these kits. While the concept is good, the unit does not hold the bulb firmly in place. On the inside of the fixture is a "C" clip that is supposed to "snug" around the bulb to hold it into place. It is not sufficient to hold the bulb in place. As a result, the bulb falters. Another C clip on the opposite side of the inside of the fixture perhaps would work. While I love the concept, I've returned all the kits.

Quick and easy upgrade
Replacing twenty year old 6inch potlights was quick and easy, did not require an electrician, modernised the look of our kitchen and brightened the area using way less electricity because we converted 60 watt reflector bulbs to 6 watt LEDs.

Don't believe the box - only good for 6 inch not 5
Overall, an excellent concept product but poorly executed - I wish more manufacturers have similar products so that there is a choice.
As I said in the title, don't believe the box that it comes in (it states that it will fit 5 and 6 inch situations). When I got the product home and tried to install it in my 5 inch light, the springs that hold the conversion kit in place would not fit into the 5 inch housing. Upon measuring the conversion kit, the springs need 5.5" to properly fit. The post that the springs are mounted on are 5" apart but you can't mount the cover plate without the springs!
On a side note, the GU10 bulbs are held in place by metal mount that 'slides' out of the main assembly. The mount is held in place by two metal clips. The clips are extremely difficult to disengage and re-engage so it will be difficult to replace the bulb at a future date.

This product--despite claims to the contrary--does not universally fit ALL recessed cans neatly or securely. How well they fit depends totally on the cans you have. Mine (installed only 6 years ago) did not have any holes that accommodated the spring loaded braces. So you either had to drill holes in the cans (not easily done due to the tight space in which to operate a drill) OR you have to hope the braces have enough tension to hold the trim kit in place, but it's unlikely you will get a secure fit that is flush with your ceiling. And over time who knows if they stay in place.
Another frustration is the instruction sheet included in these kits, which are useless and do not explain what to do in the LIKELY event your cans do not have holes or cutouts into which the spring loaded bracing wires will fit. This product is distributed by a Chinese company that did not take the time or effort to produce a proper instruction sheet.
