Rusts
Product rusts. It was used 8 feet off the ground and this area doesn't get a lot of rain. Clips don't stay closed either.

I purchased this S hook for a heavy terra cotta bird feeder that I wanted to hang from a large metal shepherds hook. I didn't want a hook that was open on the ends since the feeder is so heavy; I was afraid the wind would be able to dislodge it. That is why I chose a "closed" hook; this will give more protection from high winds since I don't want that feeder to drop and break.

I replaced the two inch caribiners on my cargo hitch net with these new S-Biner 2 pack. I bought four total. They work great. For such a little clip, they are solid and attach easily. I only use the net for overall covering, but ratchets for strength. These clips hold the net fine at high speeds. I used the cargo carrier, net and clips for shopping during COVID lockdown. Good product.

This item is fine for indoor use, but can't stand the weather. The "stainless" is an extremely low grade and rusts very quickly. Two weeks of rain and dew turned the S-Biner into unsightly junk. I bough SS specifically because I wanted to use it outdoors. Very disappointing indeed.

S-Biner #3 stainless, 25lb capacity.
So this Biner is a two section clip. Spring tension is good to keep it closed once you have attached it. Made of stainless steel with steel spring clips. The biggest difference between this Biner and an open face Biner is the two separate sections of the S . Both sides of the S have separate spring clips and are closed from each other. When you clip this to say a back pack on one side and a water bottle etc on the other. I have found clipping this to my Fly Fishing rod case to work nice laying it flatter then my round single section climbing Biner it also stays in place better.
This Biner is not designed for climbing , 25 max capacity Looks to be a US company in Boulder CO, Go Buffs! , but made in China! I'm a big fan of the products from Nite Ize and have a good selection of there products all work well for my applications.

Just what I needed!
I was looking for some mini-caribiners to hook a couple of small tools onto my camera tripod. I bought the #1 S-Biner (2-pack) at a hardware store. They were small enough and so very easy to clip on and off. They work so much better than regular carabiners! So happy I found them!

Sturdy, tremendously useful, and elegantly designed fastener. If you're like me, you'll immediately start thinking of new uses for it the moment you pick it up. Quick-release fastener for a (small) dog's yard leash ... sturdy clip to hold your towel or rangefinder on your golf bag ... key or accessory ring that conveniently clips to a belt loop, backpack, or purse strap ... and the list goes on. The gate ends are mounted offset from one another, which spring loads them, and all the materials seem to be top quality. This size (#3) is rated at 25 lbs., and if you don't overload it, it looks like it will last forever. Fantastic little piece of kit -- and for less than three bucks, you can afford to buy a handful. Also available in larger and smaller sizes and lighter-duty plastic versions. HIGHLY recommended.

Stainless Steel 'S' shaped -
Not the traditional 'D' shaped Carabiner with a single gate.
This is about 3" long with dual non-locking snap gates, rated at 25 pounds
My daughter uses it to attach a water bottle to day pack, or her oversized 'purse'.
No sharp points or edges that snag or poke.
Works well to secure the water bottle, easy to attach and detach for use.
Gates are smooth, easy open and then secure.
