The adhesive generally work on most plastics, fiberglass and acrylic but there are many types and manufactures which have not been tested. Additionally these surfaces are not always flat, rigid and often difficult to get properly cleaned in order to make an effective bond

Our tile bathroom is 55+ years old. Trying to securely anchor a grab bar without laying out dollars for special drill bits and other tools, to say nothing of the installer's (me) questionable abilities in the DIY world, this was a no-brainer. Yes, you have to wait 24 hours until you can use it but that wasn't a problem for us. Looks great, works, and I could place it precisely where it was needed.

I really didn't want to put holes in my new tile. If you are the same try these... But be forewarned ... the plates on the bars are not straight and flat in the same plane (the new tile is true). This causes the torsion effect on the bar and the adhesive eventually let go on one side. You need to shim the bar with stainless steel washers and longer screws to mount on the bracket to relieve the tension.

Some MAJOR home improvements come in small packages, and give more than good looks.
While this is NOT a major change like a new bathroom, it did give me PEACE OF MIND, which is priceless. I am a 63-year old divorcee who lives alone. Although I am in good health, a car accident in Oct. 2014 left me with a much weakened right leg. Having this grab bar has taken away the fear of showering. I would have given it excellent ratings except my first installation failed. The supplier sent me a replacement mounting kit. Their customer service was A-one! The second installation worked great.
My reason for the four stars is that I recommend that the following be REQUIRED: 1) acetone pre-treatment, and 2) a one hour wait after cleaning the surface before mounting the system.
Other than that, this GRIPP no drill required bar solved the issue of not wanting to drill or use the suction type bars which would not work on ceramic tiles with an uneven surface.

Easy Installation!!
Easy to install. Quality product. I installed mine on a fiberglass tub insert where there were no studs to attach to. Worked great. Says it will hold up to 250 lbs. If you ever want to remove it, you can, and you won't have any holes to cover up. (but you have to buy a kit for reinstalling)

The easiest grab you will ever install on tile
Anyone can install them in just a few minutes, but do require 24 hrs for the special adhesive to cure. They can be mounted over grout lines and rough tile surfaces. Easily removed if necessary with no damage to tile. ADA complient, I don't know why they are special order, they should be regular stock items. The metal is thick and the finish beautiful.
