AnswersI don't know whether you can buy the base component separately. I love my hook and have had no problems with it falling off the porcelain tile. You Tube has a installation video with the directions so you can see exactly how the hook is to be installed. Since the installation about 6 weeks ago, I have had no problems. Be certain to use the alcohol wipe to clean the surface and wait an hour for it to dry before gluing down the hook. I waited a little longer than necessary for the glue to dry. Just be sure to let the glue cure before adding weight to the hook. Good luck!

Upon a redo of our master bath we wanted a towel hook we could mount inside the shower, but did not want to drill into the new tile. After reviewing many different hooks the Loxx hook had the best reviews as far as adhering to tile walls and ease of removing, if needed. Instructions for installation were included, as was a link to website which had a tutorial. We're pleased with the results.

I was skeptical about this product however I followed ths instructions and applied the product on a frameless shower door that I install. The hook looks great and holds the amount of weight that it supposedly hold. However I didn't test for max weight described on the product sheet. Great product save headaches and few bucks.

We attached this hook to our glass shower door in order to grab the towel quickly. It was very easy to install, looks great and is very sturdy. The video they had online was very helpful as well. The only issue is that these products are way more expensive than traditional mounted items.
